My family just moved to Zionsville from OH and I am currently four months pregnant. We have heard that St. Vincent's on 86th street is the place to deliver, but I need to know of a doctor. Any suggestions? Are there any good OBs that have their office here in Zionsville, but deliver at St. Vincents? All suggestions welcome!!!!
Thanks!

What can I do next?

I also recommend Zionsville OB/Gyn. The three ladies there are very friendly, informative, and approachable. I do not know if they deliver at St. V.'s, but I would suggest Clarian North anyway if you insurance approves it. I delivered at Clarian North in September, and I was very happy with my choice.

My OB/GYN for all of my 4 children was Dr. Raney and Dr. Ball. Wonderful doctors I highly recommend them. I know there is one more Dr. in with them but I didn,t have her she came in the middle of my last pregnancy so never saw her. They rotate each of your visits with all 3 doctors so they all get to know you and 1 of these 3 women will be the ones to deliver no oncall surprise Dr. if you labor and deliver at night. They handle all their own clients. Which I found wonderful. They are located at 1275 Parkway Drive in Zionsville. Phone number ###-###-####. Congrats on your new little one.

I have delivered 2 babies at St. Vincent's and was extremely happy with my experiences. A good friend delivered at Clarian North and was happy, but wasn't nearly as informed upon departure (which may have just been her particular nurses). I had great lactation support at St. V's, however, both LO's were delivered in the middle of the day - I have heard that there is room for improvement during the night. If you are set on St. V's, I think that is a great choice. If not, then I recommend visiting any possible options before choosing a Dr. I went thru the whole process and chose St. V's.

I see Dr. John Cleary with Northside OBGYN. They are located right by the hospital, which is a very nice option because they are able to make it over often to check on you when you are in labor (which is important to me). There are two other great doctors in the practice (one male and one female). I saw Dr. Cleary regularly (I like not being rotated thru a huge practice) and then saw Dr. Myers and Dr. Gaudreau for one appt each so that if they happened to be on call when I went into labor, it would at least be a familiar face.

Before I settled on Dr. Cleary, I made an appt to just meet him, talk, and ask questions to see if he had the same ideas that I had about pregnancy, labor, and birth (I was 3 mos preg at the time). I was very comfortable with him (and both of the other doctors in the practice). It was a great choice for me. I hope this helps you. Best of luck to you!

Dr. Bolin with Beacon OBGYN. She's the best! I would follow her anywhere! Congrats and good luck.

First, you need to tell us what kind of birth you want. If you want a doctor who will ask you to come to the hospital to be induced the day you are "due" St. V's is definitely your place. I don't know anyone who had a positive birth experience there unless you count one woman who was told it's unsafe to VBAC and so she had an easy scheduled section the second time - but I don't consider scheduled sections a positive birth experience. So it all depends on what you're looking for. Can you update this and let us know what you want? If you want a safest, natural birth, you want either the birth center on 38th or Methodist. If you want a highly-drugged, intervention-filled birth, go to St. V's. Something in between can be found at Clarion North and Community North Hospital. Also, you won't get much breastfeeding help at St. V's, so if that's a priority, you want to stay away.

PM me if you want more info on the safest choices in the area.
