Which Hospital to Deliver? - Pendleton,IN

I would highly recommend my doctor - James Brillhart. He has an office at the Community North Campus, and on Olio Road near 126th Street. He's very easy to talk to and actually listens! He's really incredible.

He delivered our 2 girls at Community North and we had great experiences both times. (My only criticism with the hospital was that with our first, it was extremely difficult trying to get help from the lactation consultant, but by #2, they had remedied that issue.)

If, for some reason, you need to see a specialist, then I'd definitely go to David McLaughlin - his office is at 146th St. and Hwy. 37.

I recommend Women's Health Alliance at Clarian North. My dr is Amy Moon, she is fantastic! Good luck with your decision!

I had my 4- and 2-year old children at Community North Hospital, and had a terrific experience all the way around. Since then, they have updated and remodeled most of their facility, so now perhaps it's even better! Really it was the people who made it for me. I live in Fishers, and the Hospital is in Indianapolis, not hamilton County, but I would recommend it to anyone. Best of luck and welcome to the area!

I go to the Carmel/OB Gyn practice in Carmel and love all the doctors...mine is Dr. Cline. I delivered my first at St. Vincent 86th and my 2nd and 3rd at St. Vincent Carmel. I was very pleased with both locations and all of my doctors were great. I wanted to have an unmedicated birth and they were very supportive. The Carmel/OB Gyn practice does have a sattelite office in Fishers too, which is nice for all the appointments when you are pregnant. Good Luck!

I am also new to the area and live in Noblesville. When we were researching this area, I took a close look at all of the hospitals for both employment opportunities (for me as a physical therapist) and for labor & delivery services (for our second child, whenever that turns out to be). I ended up choosing Riverview, partly because of the rave reviews that I've heard about their maternity department. That part of the hospital consistently scores above 95% for patient satisfaction, and the LDRP suites are gorgeous!

I would recommend at least touring the maternity areas of each hospital before you make your decision. Good luck!

I got pregnant right after I moved here. Let me tell you from experience, a bad GYN or GYN experience is not what you want to have! I found my doctor through a friend of a friend. My doctor is Kristin Adams with Castleton OBGYN. Their website is www.castletonobgyn.com They have offices in the Community building off State Road 37 and 141st street (Behind Texas Roadhouse) and in the newest building attached to Community North Hospital.

Community North has an awesome new maternity department. They have high risk pregnancy on one floor and everyone else on another floor. They have rooms that offer delivery in bath tubs. Their suites are great; small refridgerator, microwave, sofa/bed for dad. I have heard the hospital is so well known in the area that Future Moms will see their regular OBGYN’s through out their pregnancy and then go to Community North just to deliver. (Even if their dr. does not go there!)

Dr. Adams helped with fertility and ultimately delivered both of my boys, Robbie and Ryan. She is a very caring and thorough doctor. I don’t know what I will do if we ever move from this area!

Hi H.. I also live in the Fishers area. I delivered at St. Vincent's (86th street). They were very professional and attentive. I have heard good things about Clarion North as well. I love my OB and would recommend her. Her name is Dr. Bolin and she is with Beacon OBGYN. Good luck with everything!

I recently located to this area too and we just had our first child here October. So, I was just in your shoes. Well, My advice is going to depend on what you want. Do you want to choose your hospital based on your Dr. or your Dr. based on your hospital? Do you want LDRP hospital rooms or could you care less? Do you want a female MD? Do you want meds in labor or deliver naturally?

We delivered at community North. I was very happy with the rooms and the staff. The rooms are LDRP's and I love that. Community will accommodate you fairly well if you want a natural delivery experience. But, it is a very large floor, so if you want a smaller floor, you might not like it there. The 2 MD's I would suggest are male: Dr. Henderzahs, Female: Dr. Indy Lane. If location and room style don't matter, I would also suggest St. Vincent Carmel. It is a smaller floor, the staff is wonderful, I really like and trust the MD's. I work as a labor and delivery nurse there. But, you labor and deliver in one room and then you move to a postpartum room.
