2 Year Old Pajama/diaper Houdini

My 2 year old will NOT keep his pajamas or diaper on at night. We tried onesies underneath (he pulls them until the snaps give, then proceeds to remove the pants then the diaper, then pees all over), backward diaper (barely slowed him down), and even painter's tape lightly around the waist of the diaper (he tore the diaper in half so the waist was still on, and the rest was hanging down...and peed in his crib). We were told to try backwards feetie pajamas, and they do work - but it's getting warmer out, and I am concerned he will be too...

Putting Toddler to Sleep Question to 'No Cry' Moms

Hi Moms, This question goes out to 'No Cry' Moms. I would like to know how/when you transitioned your toddler to going to sleep on their own. The easiest way for me to get my little one down to sleep is by holding him in my arms and walking him back and forth in a room (it takes me about 3 minutes to get him to sleep). In situations when I am too tired to walk him, I lay down and in his own time he lays down next to me and falls asleep (this can take a 1/2 hour or so). My husband thinks my little guy is too old for me to walk him to...

22 Month Old Won't Keep Clothes On!

Please help! My 22 month old DD strips down bare naked every time I put her in her crib (nap time as well as bedtime) and then goes to the bathroom all over her bedding. I have tried putting on onesies, sewing the onesie shut and putting it on like a leotard, putting the diaper on backwards. The only thing that works is putting her footie pajamas on backwards so they zip in the back. The only problem with that is that the weather is getting warmer and soon it will be too warm for footie pajamas. I need help on what I can do. All...

2 Questions: 10 Month Old Giving up a Nap & a Very Basic Question Re: Sleepwear

Hi moms. So, just curious if any of you are going through this? My 10.5 month old is quickly losing his 2 naps a day. He goes to daycare and I guess his "older infant class" are all kind of switching to 1 nap a day around noon. He'll do about 1.5 hours then, which is decent, but I just don't know if it's enough. He was doing so well on 2 naps a day (@9am and @2pm) with bedtime at 7pm. On his good weeks, he'd sleep from 7pm-6:30am with a blip here or there during the night. But lately he hasn't been sleeping well through the night ...

10 Week Old Won't Sleep More than 3 Hours at Night

The title says it all. Between pregnancy and this baby, it's been since January that I've not slept for any stretch of time! Here's a general schedule: -- 7PM falls asleep on his own; wakes at 7:30 to eat, then we swaddle him, give him a pacifier (which he loses after 5 minutes); then we let him cry 5-10 minutes and he goes to sleep by 8:00 -- wakes up at 10 or 11, I feed to "top him off", back to sleep, swaddled with paci -- wakes at 2:00, from 2-3 is a battle of putting paci in and he sleeps for 5 minutes, then drops it and screams. ...

My 20 Month Old Keeps Taking His Diaper Off!

He's 20 months old and started showing interest in his diaper & privates. But now, he always wants to take it off. I started having to use the wide clear tape and tape it all the way around. Sometimes he even gets that off. It usually happens when he goes to bed and then we find him naked in the morning, laying in his own pee! For a while, I would just tell him to leave it alone. But I got desperate & starting taping. Is this just a phase? And any suggestions on how to deal with it?

22 Month Old Attached to Mommy and New Baby on the Way...

Hello all, I have a question that I am hoping to get some good responses on. I have a daughter who will be 2 in June and am expecting another in October. My question is how can I prepare my daughter for this?? I ask her if she wants mommy to have a baby and she says no. So now I ask if she wants mommy to bring her a friend and she says yes. My issue is my daughter if VERY attached to me...like her cord was never cut. Everything is mommy...mommy read it, mommy change me, mommy bath me. I can't even go to the restroom without her. ...

What Are Other People's Self-soothing Techniques for Helping Baby to Bed?

Our 6 1/2 month old son cries hard every night when it's time to go to bed. We try to stick to the same routine, but I admit, not religiously. I nurse him, then around 7pm or so we feed him some fruit or veggies. I usually read a book to him. We put him in his pajamas. We hang out for a little bit with low lighting, playing gently or cuddling. When it's time to go to bed, my husband swaddles him in his blankie and he screams and usually takes 20 min. to an hour to put him down. (I don't think it's the swaddling because when I try to get him...
