Where Should My Son Sleep?

My son is 10 mos old and currently shares a bed with me. My husband says he should be sleeping in his crib by himself. my son naps in his crib, and is capable of putting himself to sleep. This isn't affecting my husband at all, he sleeps in a seperate bed because of our schedule differences. I feel that my son will be grown soon enough and the only time we get to cuddle is when we go to sleep at night. i don't plan on him sleeping with me forever, and don't understand why my husband is so sure this is bad for him. Adopting a Boy - What to Register for an (18 Month Old) Baby Shower

My husband will have the son we've been praying for in two months. Some friends from our church are wanting to throw us a shower - can you give me an idea of the "must-have's" for an 18 month old? I don't have anything for our baby at this point except my collection of Little Golden books! I would so appreciate your thoughts - I don't want to register for things only to learn later that I really didn't need them. Please be specific. I appreciate your help so much!

Hi moms, Does anyone know of a place in Houston where I can buy a nap mat? It seems that Target and Wal-Mart only carry them just before school starts. I've seen some online stores that sell nap mats for $80+, but I definitely don't want to spend that much! Thanks!

How to Get a 15 Month Old to Sleep Through the Night

My son still wakes up anywhere from 2 to 5 times a night. When he wakes up he wants his sippy cup. I am beyond exhausted and would like to enjoy a decent night sleep. Also how do I begin to ween him off of the sippy cup at night? I think its a security thing with him.

Trying to Get 19 Month Old off the Bottle!

My daughter is 19 months old and we're really struggling with getting her off the bottle. She only takes the bottle before her nap and in the evening before she goes to bed. Other than that, she drinks water (sometimes juice) throughout the day in a sippy cup. She really can't have too much milk regardless because she struggles with constipation. Anyway, we've tried giving her the milk in her sippy cup, but she let's it sit there. She will not drink it if it's in the sippy cup for some reason. It will sit there all day if I'd let it! YUCK!...

Having Descipline Issues with My 2 Year 5 Month Old.

Rescently My little munchkin has started something new.. She has done the typical throw herself down or stand and scream fits for her age. We deal with those by telling her to go to bed and we she is calm she can come talk to us about the problem. She has responded very well to this type of discipline. *guess it is an offshoot of time out.* The new thing we are dealing with is "HEY THATS MINE!*SNATCH*" It doesn't matter whose it is or why they have it. She just runs up and takes saying that is hers. I'm wondering how others have dealt with...
