Taking Diapers and P.J.'s Off

Hi! My 2 1/2 year old daughter has been taking off her diapers and pajama's during naptimes and at bedtime. Often times she ends up wetting the bed. This has been going on for 2 months and I am getting tired of changing her bed and continuing to put on her diapers and pajama's. I have tried telling her if she does it, she can't watch her favorite t.v. show Dora The Explorer. This worked for a short time. Now I am letting her fall asleep naked, praying she doesn't have an accident. Then before I go tho bed, I put everything back on. This isn...

Transitioning from a Crib to a Bed - When??

Hi all! I have a 25 mo old daughter. She sleeps in her crib for naps and at night. She rarely cries at night (knock on wood) and sleeps all the way through...once she gets to sleep! We are considering transitioning her into a big girl bed, but realize there's no real push either. She falls asleep almost immediately for her naps - maybe within 5 minutes - BUT - at night - I lay her down and she plays for up to 45 minutes - not sits and plays - throws herself from one side of the crib to the other. Stomps at the wall- throws her stuffed...

How Do I Transition My Todder from Her Crib to a Bed?

I thought I was going to have to do this months ago when my daughter climbed out of her crib but she never tried again. Now she is 26 months old and is now able to climb out of a pack and play so I know its probably not very safe for her to remain in her crib. I'm just looking for the best way to make this transition? I know that she is not going to stay in a bed where she has the freedom to get up. I don't want to have to put her back in her bed all night long so how do you keep them there?

Moving into a Toddler Bed

I am trying to move my two year old daughter from her crib to a toddler bed. She picked out a Dora the explorer bed and was very excited about it but as soon as it became bedtime she cried and cried and told me she was afraid to sleep in it and her crib was more comfy. She hasn't climbed out of her crib yet, but she is definitely capable and it is just a matter of time before she does so i would like to get her out of there. Any suggestions about making this transition easier would be great!

Are Any Other Moms Sleep Sharing?

From the time he was born, I got my son into the habit of sleeping in bed with us. I just never felt comfortable with having him in a seperate room, across the hall, and he very quickly outgrew his basinet. He is now 17 months old and will sleep in his own bed, but sleeps more soundly and seems to be more comfortable in bed with us. I, personally love having him there because I know he is warm and I know he is safe, but I continue to be pressured by other people to get him into his own bed before he becomes too dependent upon sleeping...

Sleep Changes in 22 Mo

All of the sudden, our 22 month old daughter won't stay in her crib. Nap time, sleep time...whatever. She gets out in less than 30 seconds and jumps into our bed. Realizing this won't work, we thought about getting a crib net. After some research, it didn't seem safe and felt a little strange "zipping her in" at night. Before converting the crib to a toddler bed, we decided to lay her mattress on her floor, gate the doorway, and cross our fingers. Of course, she either tried climbing over the gate or stood there crying looking...

Using Portable DVD Player on Airplane Ride

My husband, kiddos and I will be taking a trip to visit family in a month or so. My son is 3 1/2 and daughter is 2 1/2. We've been thinking about bringing our portable DVD player along on the plane to occupy their attention for a bit since it will be a long plane ride. Have any of you done this? My husband is a bit concerned that the sound of the show playing will irritate other passengers. My thoughts on that-- I think they would much rather hear a slight sound of Dora the Explorer over a screaming, bored toddler! What are your...
