Super Suppers or DinnerStation?

I think the whole concept of going to a place to make "homemade" meals and yet leaving all the mess behind is great. And, they really are reasonable in cost, especially since I don't have to keep all the fresh herbs and spices on-hand as well as the other ingredients that can go bad quickly. So, my question is, does anyone have any feedback on which of the two I've noted are better than another. Both are in Coppell, though I'm sure in general, all their franchises are about the same. So, if you have any experience with one or both of these places, please let me know details. I'd like to schedule a time to visit one soon. Thanks in advance. L.

I have had meals from both and I love Super Suppers hands down! The food is so much better than Dinner Station and the store is so homey feeling! What I like the best is that if I am really busy and don't have time to schedule a time to come in I can stop by there and get some meals already made up out of the freezer they have in the front of the store! You should really try it out...you will love it too!! They are so nice there! I LOVE IT! It has made my life so much better and my family is eating better too! (they also have all of the nutrional info on the website)

I have been to the Dinner Station in Corinth and love it! If you know you will have a busy month ahead, it is a wonderful gift to yourself! My husband loved it and felt that we ate healthier in the months that I've used it. They also have all of their nutrition info online, so you can pick your menu based on that (which worked great for me this year when I started Weight Watchers!) Go ahead and try it..you definately won't regret it!

Definately Super Suppers. I have been going once a month since April and love it. The food is good and the price is right. I really like being able to tailor the meals to my family's likes and dislikes too. Just know that for mass appeal occasionally a meal can be a little on the bland side but you are free to add extra spices or take away to fit your tastes.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Super Suppers! If you would like to try some of their entrees without the commitment, you can stop by the store and pick up a few pre-assembled "Grab-N-Go" meals to try before you sign up.

The steaks at Dream Dinners are better than any I've had at a restaurant and my husband agrees - including the expensive restaurants. The quality is amazing!

I have a small family too and Dream Dinners allows you to order 3-serving meals or 6-serving meals so I don't have waste or leftovers. They also offer a great variety of meals each month.

I have a friend who tried both. We often split meals at SS or DS with her, so we just had this discussion.

She said that SS has better marinades and meats so any recipe that calls for a meat to be marinaded, SS often packages it that way while with DS, you pour the marinade on when you're cooking.

However, she said that DS seems to have better casserole dinners. She also said that some of DS's dinners seem to be a bit bland.

We've been doing SS for about a year now and we really enjoy it. I like that DS doesn't charge you extra to have the meals prepared for you like SS does. Both me and my friend work, so we often don't have time to devote 90-120 minutes to preparing the meals.

Your best bet is to compare the menu at both places and go with whatever place has more meals that appeal to you. You will probably find yourself switching back and forth.

Hope that helps!

This is not really a response but just to say that this sounds really interesting and practical. I work in Dallas, live in Plano and have two hungry teenagers at home. This sounds like an answer to my difficulty with preparing nutritious meals on time.

L. B.,

I have been going to Dream Dinners for over 2 years and I love it! I prefer it to Super Supper (I have never been to DinnerStation). The meals at Dream Dinners are more kid-friendly in taste and my husband also likes them better. There is a store in Fort Worth. Hope this helps.

Please, please, please try Dream Dinners. The meals are soooo much better than Super Suppers. Not your typical casserole-y meal. My kids love it -- they even eat salmon now -- and after 9 months I have only had one or two meals that didn't go over well. It has changed my life! Love it!

I think At Home Dinners is better. There are two locations, one in Plano and one in Frisco. They use fresh ingredients, never frozen. And the meals taste so much better. Much healthier too!
