Baby Shower in a Box Ideas

My younger sister lives several states away and is expecting her first baby at the end of December. I have some gifts to send her but found out she's not really having a friends/family shower. She had a small church shower with some church people, but I want to doll up her box a bit so she and her husband can have a mini-shower together. What is the best food ideas at a kid's birthday party?

Hi Moms! My sons 1st birthday party is in June, and it will be from 1-3 in order to accomodate his nap schedule. Just wondering what type of food we should serve? We were thinking about doing a BBQ....would that be ok? Or is that too much for an afternoon party? Any ideas of great party foods would also be much appreciated, this is the first time I have ever done this and I want it to be memorable:) P.S. It will be an "Elmo" themed party Thanks! H.

Boy Party Favors

My daughters 1st Birthday is coming up and I am doing the whole Royal Princess Theme. I bought the girls Princess notepad/Gel pen and paton (sp)I am stuck on what to buy the boys!!! The Kids coming are 4-11. HELP!!! I will have candy on dessert table and on tabels so I am not putting it in there bags. I thought of maybe squirt guns?? I did ask the parents of all the boys do not mind play squirt guns.

Having Friends over - Would You Want to Be Asked first...horses, Pond

My kids are ages 11,9 and 8. (also have a 1 year old, but she doesn't ride horses, yet :) Whenever the kids have friends over, I always ask the parent if it's ok before I let the kids swim in the pond or ride the horses. Need Ideas for Party Favors

My son is turning 3 in a few weeks (!!!) and we're having his birthday party at the swimming pool with all his little friends. We want to have little gifts for his friends but I don't want to do goody bags like we've done in the past, it seems like no one really plays with the stuff we put in there. Boys Birthday Party Ideas

My son is turning 6 very soon and Im not sure what to do for his party. Im a little annoyed at how much all the usual parties cost, like the jumping places or gym places. They all seem to be around $300 for a group of 7-10. It seems like a lot to spend on a 2 hour party for 6 year olds. Does anyone feel the same or am I being crazy? Do you have any other ideas?
