I usually look at mamapedia on my iPad. In the last couple of weeks there are these coupon pop ups that block the posts and/or questions. I have to reload the page to see the info. Anything I can do to get it back the way it was?

To add: so even as I tried to add to my ? the stupid coupon ad by mamasource blocked me from adding. It is from the website not my browser not safari. Can I use Firefox on the iPad? Didn't know that... Thanks for the help.

What can I do next?

Ive noticed the ad getting in the way too now, even on my desktop PC. It's so annoying! i usually have to hit refresh to make it stop. We all need to send a letter to mamapedia, I've already sent one stating my disgust with it.

I think it has to do with the size of the screen, I have that problem with my phone but not the computer.

I have the same problem on my IPhone 4. I've tried to get off the list, etc and I stll get that darn coupon that prevents me from accessing the mailbox and viewing the first 4-6 questions.

Thank you for posting this, now I know it is not just me.

depends on what you run on your iPad...Firefox or IE or Safari.

You can go to the tools and settings and block ads.

I have that same problem on my I Phone....I hate it...my guess is that they have not optimized this site for each of the various devices!!!! So annoying!!!!!!!!

The ad thing is something mamapedia added not too long ago and I was getting it too, along with an email every day (sometimes more than one) that was clogging up my inbox. I emailed help and had them cancel that part because I didn't want the ads, just the question emails. I would guess that canceling that ad by emailing the website would also stop the pop-ups. Good luck!

I know you're NOT talking about "Pop up" ads, right? So--nothing to do with your browser or "ad blocking" settings at all. MORE to do with poor site design.
Like when the "log off" link lines up with the "ad choices" propaganda link? LOL
Most of those pop ups have "close" buttons in the UR corner-but it is annoying.

ETA: Nope, can't use Firefox, but you can use Skyfire ($4.99 at app store), which allows FLASH!

I just noticed this today on my iPad, and thought it was just 'me'. :( Guess not. I usually read from my computer, but sometimes, first thing in the morning I read emails from my iPad and log on to here. Maybe someone will read this and fix it. ;)
