I have a large screen DLP TV and I need it repaired. Does anyone know of someone who is reasonably priced in the Allen, Plano or McKinney area? Any idea what a quote will cost me ? I'm not sure if it is worth fixing it.

I think it was $50 for a quote, though they deduct that if you choose to have them repair it. They were able to salvage an older set of ours, but I would call them to get a better idea of the cost. They are located in McKinney off Hwy 5. Very nice people!

We had a DLP that the light engine was going out on and after researching online found that it was going to cost around $600 to fix. Plus, we had already replaced the bulb once so when the bulb went out again we opted to buy a new LCD TV rather than repairing the DLP and buying another bulb. We've been very happy with our LCD so far. I'm not sure what type of repair you need, but I'm sure you could get a good deal on a new TV right now if you shop around so it might be worth it.
I have used a company called GEM Electronics ###-###-####. Seem honest and not as expensive as other nightmare repair stories I've heard about.
