Should I Let My 15 Month Old Stay at Grandma's All Night?

We have a friend in from California, so one of our other friends is throwing a party in fort worth. It's a late party, so Grandma offered to have the girls over for the whole night. Aubrey has never slept at anyone else's house, and I've never left her really for more than a few hours. But, I am only 26 years old and have not been to a party in a very long time! I'd really like to go out, but I am hesitant. Grandma says she doesn't care if the baby keeps her up, but I just don't want to make her or the baby suffer just because I want to go out, and I really want to go out! Help!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well, I did it and we all survived! The baby was already asleep by the time we got there, so there we no issues with sleep.

Absolutely you should go and let the kids stay at grandma's. They'll have a blast...and so will you, and you deserve it.

go out! I wish I was you. As long as you know your mom can handle them. Go OUT. When your kids get old enough they are going to want to break loose and your going to be the only one with separation anxiety.

You should definitely go out and not feel bad about it. I felt the same way as you do the first time my son spent the night away from me, and everything went perfectly. Eventually, she will have her first night away from you--might as well be now. Have fun. You deserve it, I'm sure!!!!

Good for you Bethany. I WISH I could babysit for my Grandsons more often. I don't know about other Grandmas, but THIS one considers it a treat to spend time with the wee ones.
