I don't remember what age my son was, but we went through that issue also at some point. I switched to Pampers Baby Dry at night and that seemed to help some, they really do seem to be more absorbant. Help that's somewhat helpful.
My daughter is 5 and 1/2 months. I try not to change her throughout the night so she doesn't wake all the way up but she is waking up very wet in the morning. Any ideas on what kind of diapers to use at night. We use pampers sensitives during the day. Thanks
Thank you everyone for the great responses! I put my daughter in a bigger size diaper and now she rarely leaks. Great idea. I have also shared that idea with a few friends. So thank you!

I like seventh generation diapers just becuase they are much better for the skin, and health as they have no chemicals in them!
I have found that my 10 1/2 month old daughter would wake up in the morning soaking wet. She soaked through her diaper, pj's, and the sheet. Pampers are great, but I don't think any diaper was designed to handle that much pee. I thought I would try putting size 4 diapers on her a night, even though she wears the size 3. It might have been illogical, but in my mind the bigger diaper should hold more pee. I tried it and it worked. In the morning, her pj's were dry and so was the sheet. I no longer have to change the crib bedding every single day. Maybe it will work for you too. Good luck!
M.,
For our daughter (who would wake up soaking wet thru her diaper), we used Nite-time diapers, and went up one size for the nights. This ended our problems - but make sure to really wipe her bottom well in the morning, as she may get a little rash.
It's usually trial and error based on her body type and wetting. Not much help I know.
If she is leaking, try going up a size. If not, don't worry about it. Most of them don't mind being wet, and as they get older they wet less frequently. My daughte is 14 months and she stays dry most of the night until is is time to wake up.
But I would also, would go ahead and change her at night before you feed her if she is wet. She will go right back to sleep. Being too wet and getting a diaper rash is a bigger deal. But no, I wouldn't wake her JUST because she is wet.
HUGGIES OVERNIGHTS...they are the best for overnight. Also, when my son was getting close to the next size, but wasn't quite there normally, we would go up with the overnights, worked like a champ!!
I have been using Huggies Overnites for my 27 month old since about that time frame.
Huggies worked well for us at night. The pampers rarely made it over night.
Hi M.,
Is your daughter about to outgrow the diapers that she currently wears? I ask because when my son was in between sizes the same thing would happen to him. You may want to use the same brand diaper at night but buy a bigger size. Since children are in the diaper longer at night than they are in the day they need a little more padding to use.
I hope you find a solution because it is no fun waking up to a wet baby.
Huggies makes a night-time diaper. They are more expensive but really make a difference!!!
Hi, I have found that Huggies overnights work very well, and when you start using pull-ups, there are also pull-ups for overnight. Since my daughter, (now 27 months), sleeps on her belly was leaking even around the top, belly area. At about 18 months I started having a lot of problems with leaking, but when I switched to pull-ups I could get a tighter seal around the legs, and they are more stretchy around the big toddler belly too. It's the same brand Huggies, pretty pink for girls, too.
Pampers makes a night time diaper and that worked wonders for us. Never leaked and my daughter was a big drinker right until she was fully trained at 2 1/2.
Go up one size for the night time diapers :)
We use Huggies Overnites for our daughter at night and she stays dry for 12 h.
We also tried not to do nighttime diaper changes, and when either of my kids would seem to start waking up regularly with wet pajamas, I'd go up a diaper size for nighttime. That's worked so far for my daughter (10 months old), but for my son (who's now 3 and out of diapers) there were times when even a bigger diaper size wouldn't do it, so we added "diaper doublers" which we found at the grocery store in the diaper aisle. They're basically like a big sanitary napkin without the adhesive--in fact, if you can't find them, I bet a pad would do the trick! Good luck!
Huggies overnights always worked well for me. They can get soaked too, it's just not as bad as regulars.
We've always used the Berkley and Jensen brand (BJ's wholesale club brand) of diapers. We've never had an issue with leaking at all.
We've always used Costco's brand (Kirkland) diapers on our three kids, and never had a problem, day or night.
i have a 23mo and ever since she was 6mos we've been using Huggies snug n dry [white package]. my sister also has a 5mo and she has tried a couple different diapers, like pampers cruisers and found she also likes huggies sung n dry best!
I have been using Huggies overnites. They really work well once the baby is sleeping thru the night. I could only find size 4 and up in the stores though. Diapers.com has size 3, which might be the size you would need for your little one now.
Huggies overnites are great. I understand that Pampers has its own overnite diaper too.. if you prefer them.
Well my first suggestion is to change her at least once a night maybe after she goes to bed but on your way to bed. You want to interrupt her at night. It seems mean but if she's used to you coming in and messing with her she will learn to sleep through it. It makes it easier when you have to do things like take temp. later on in life. I can go right in and clean my daughters room, mess with her, move her around if i think she's falling off the bed, cover her up. Take her out of bed to the car to bring my husband to work if i need to or most anything else. She doesn't' wake up and the reason why is because i make sure i go in there most nights and do something with her. I either go in and mover to to the other side of the bed if i think she's falling off Or cover her up. It makes it easier on her.... She's used to it so it doesn't bother her anymore and doesn't wake her up. If i didn't do that she would wake up when ever i did and it would def. interrupt her sleep.
You may just want to try the extra pad inserts into her diapers. They are supposed to be able to absorb a little bit more. I haven't tried them on my kids, but that is what they are made for. Good luck!
Maybe you dont need to change brands (I've bee using Pampers since I got a load free from the hospital!), but change SIZES. Maybe your little one has outgrown them. They may still fit comfortably, but they don't hold enough to wear overnight. Use diaper rash cream as I prevetitive treatment. And also, try to protect the crib mattress if its not already plastic and protect the rest of her skin outside the diaper area by using a diaper cover. My son rarely breaks out in the diaper area because (I'm guessing) that skin is used to being in contact with pee, but anywhere else it goes will break out.
If she is so wet it is leaking- just go up a size in diapers at night time. This has allways worked for us.

I used huggies overnights and a diaper doubler. its a big pad you put in and it does the trick every time. the only place i could find the doubler was at food lion. i think the packaging is blue with clouds. hope it helps.
I use Huggies Overnites...they are wonderful. I buy a size bigger than my baby needs and I never change him at night. They work beautifully. If you get the Sunday paper there is a $2.00 off coupon for these diapers.
Hope this helps. H. =)
I have found that using huggies at night and then cheap off brand diapers during the day works great for us. Out of all the diapers I have tried huggies seem to work the best. Good Luck!
Pampers don't work for my little one. She leaks even when her diaper isn't full. We like Huggies Natural Fit.
