The Pediatric Village located in the Spring Valley section of upper NW WDC might fit the bill as well. ###-###-####. It's a private practice with three women physicians. It's been a relatively positive experience going there.
We moved to the area just before our baby was born (now 3 months old). I was under a fast deadline to pick a pediatrician for him and hope for the best. Unfortunately I'm just not that happy with my choice. Can anyone recommend a good pedi. who is supportive of breastfeeding and other natural child care choices?
Thanks!

I really like that they are associated with Children's Medical Center, so that if there's ever a problem, they have access to experts. I've been breastfeeding for a year now, and they've been completely supportive. I'm not sure what you mean by "other natural child care choices" so I can't comment on that.
In the practice, I've seen Drs DeSouza and Tesch and really like them both. Dr. Tesch is currently on maternity leave herself.
If you call the office, they will schedule a time for you to come in and see the practice and talk with one of the docs to see if you like it there.
If you're in the upper Montgomery County area, go to Potomac Pediatrics in Rockville. There's 7 or 8 doctors, and they are all WONDERFUL!! Their office is next to Shady Grove Hospital. ###-###-####
Kensington Pediatrics. Dr. June Fusner and Nancy Hoover, CRNP, are fantastic. Nancy is a lactation consultant. Both believe in homeopathy and alternative medicine. Good luck.
We love our pediatricians located on Rockville Pike. It is a two-doctor practice, so you always see a doctor you know. One of them is on call and happy to help 24 hours a day. They are big supporters of breast feeding, very understanding, always have time to talk and spend time with the kids. They make going to the doctor a positive experience. Also, they always had practical advice for childhood ailments -- steps that usually worked before invasive procedures (i.e. ear tubes). They will work with you with any sort of treatment plan in case your little one gets sick and work with you with any other questions or concerns you have. They are Dr. Barbara BryNelson and Dr. Barkin. The number is ###-###-####. Their office is across Rockville Pike from WhiteFlint Mall, behind Chili's.
In response to your pediatrician request, where are you located. Mine is great. I have 3 children, ages 2, 5, and 10. All my children and my sister's children have been with him all their lives.
What kind of insurance do you have (PPO or HMO)?
we see dr. hashim hashim on randolph rd in rockville. we live in north gaithersburg so it's a bit of a drive but we love him. we got his name off of this site from the archived requests.
We love Dr. Ted Wells-Green in Damascus. He has a breastfeeding room and believes in holistic living. He is based in Damascus
