Can anyone recommend a pediatrician and children's dentist in Montgomery county? Rockville, Gaithersburg, Germantown, or Potomac area will be great.

Hi A.,
Doctors in Germantown, is Dr. Mischa Martin off of Wisteria near the Germatown Post Office, spends good time to discuss your childs needs and answers your questions by not rushing you out. Also Montgomery Pediatrics is good they are off of Shady Grove Road They are across Shady Grove Hospital too. They have several doctors inhouse so its a matter of who you feel comfortable with but they have a good staff and great doctors too.
we love dr. dan hunsinger in n. potomac, off of 28 and quince orchard road. he is in a private practice (pediatrician) ###-###-####
dr. pete mcconell in germantown off of wisteria is a great dentist for all ages, really a great guy also a private practice ###-###-####
I have to second the recommendation for Dr. Golnar Jahanmir. My son has been seeing her since his 1st birthday & she's very sweet. She sees him when he's on my lap & his visits are quick & painless.

I brought all 3 of my kids to Metropolitan Dental Specialists in Germantown, MD. They were great! I have a 2yr. old son, 3 yr. old daughter and 4yr. old daughter. When I brought them in over the summer, the staff and dentist were so good with them. They also had toys in the waiting room, along with a TV playing a kids movie. The rooms were very clean and had a TV attached to the chair playing a show that your child would like to help them get through the appt. With bringing 3 kids to the appts. and having a TV in the room for them to watch, made their appts. a breeze. Then after their appt. they took them to pick out a sticker and a couple small toys. I highly recommend this practice. They are located at 19735 Germantown Rd. and their # is ###-###-#### We saw Dr. Poursaeid who is a female dentist and she was wonderful with my kids.

A little about me:
Stay at home mom to a 2yr. old boy, 3 yr. old girl and 4 yr. old girl. My kids are all literally about 12 months apart in age, so I am busy. Their birthdays are 8/15/04, 8/22/05 and 7/31/06. My beautiful babies are adopted from Guatemala and I love being a Mom and staying home with my children. I also have 2 dogs, and 5 cats! My 2 girls just started attending the ELF school in Boyds, 2 days a week.
we like dr hashim hashim in rockville. we are new with him but i like how he handles sick calls. i think i may have gotten his name from mamasource or another parents listserv. ###-###-####.
We love Kids Teeth in Rockville. http://kidsteeth.net/ ###-###-####
Don't, don't, don't go to Dr. Gravitz at Greenway Dental Group. My 5 yr old daughter had to have pulled 3 of the 4 teeth he filled cavities in b/c he didn't get all the bacteria in the cavities. Even before her double abcess (!!!!) developed, I swore we would find another dentist because for a pediatric dentist, I didn't feel he worked with my daughter well at all. The treatment at Kids Teeth is a night and day difference!!!! We went to them with our emergency and we couldn't be happier. They are gentle, caring, and respectful of the children. After the 3rd tooth went bad and had to be pulled, they recommended a baby root canal on the 4th as a preventive measure to try to save it before it followed suit. So far so good.
She's 7 now and loves going to Kids Teeth in spite of all she's been through b/c they treat her so well. In addition to their fabulous demeanor, other pluses are the fingernail painting, temporary tattoos, fun prizes, and nearly over-the-top decorating of the office.
We love Dr. Ted Wells-Green who is our pediatrican in Damascus. He is well known at Johns Hopkins and his staff is wonderful. He treats all 5 of my children. We also go to Dr. Paryavi in Darnestown for Pediatric Dentistry. Her office is small and not crowded, so kids can play and not feel ambushed. Best of luck!

A.--We LOVE Dr. Golnar Jahanmir (aka Dr. J) for pediatric dentistry. She is located on Corporate Blvd in Rockville, near Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. I was very unhappy with the dentist I took my son to in Rockville (mentioned negatively in one of the responses you got) and Dr. J came to visit my son's preschool class one day. I happened to be there and I couldn't believe how enchanted the children were with her. They LOVED her. So I thought that I must take my son to her. And I did, and she was wonderful. She is young, bright and very sweet. Her office is comfortable, inviting and bright. The # is ###-###-####.
For pediatricians, we ADORE Shady Grove Pediatrics in Rockville. ###-###-####. BUT they may not be taking new patients so call to find out. Fabulous practice--cannot say enough great things about it.
Good luck!

We were very impressed with this pediatric dentist in North Potomac. She did a great job with our 2 and 4 year olds. She made them feel comfortable and relaxed.
