Does anyone have a great pediatrician in the Gaithersburg/Germantown area?
I am very pleased with the care my son has gotten at Children's Pediatrics and Associates.

They also have a Germantown location, but I don't have the address for that. Drs. Mella, Woods, and DeSouza are my favorites. (Dr. Tesch, my original doctor there left after having her last child.)

Dr. Ted Wells-Green in Damascus is wonderful. His number is ###-###-#### he treats all 5 of my children and works with your schedule.
We really like Potomac Pediatrics. It's located at the Shady Grove hospital complex. We've seen almost every doctor there (I believe all are female) and have liked all of them! Nice fish tank in the waiting room with toy bags for the kids to play with while waiting (and they clean them after each use.) They are good about getting you in if your child is sick and I rarely wait a long time in the waiting (for both healthy and sick visits.)
I LOVE my pediatrician's office. Its in Montgomery Village. They have a drop in time (between 8:30-9am) and you can just show up and they will see you without an appointment. I went today because my 2 yr old is sick and I didn't realize they don't offer the drop in time when public schools have the day off (today) but they saw me anyway and squeezed me in. They did not treat me like an idiot for not knowing and were very nice about my mistake. My neighbor takes her kids there. When her family got new insurance and the office did not accept her insurance - the office told her not to leave that they would apply for the new insurance. They did so and she did not have to find a new practice. I know one year pretty recently they rec'vd an excellence award from Washingtonian Magazine. We love Dr. Takai and Assoc. in Germantown. They are located in the bldg. next to the Shady Grove Emergency Center off of Rt. 118. We switched to Dr. Takai and Assoc. in 4/08 and we absolutely love all the drs and staff. I highly recommend this practice.
I absolutely LOVE Dr. Jayme Holstein who works with the practice of Takai, Hoover, Hsu & Associates. They are located right on 118 in Germantown. 19735 Germantown Road • Suite 200 • Germantown • MD • 20874 • ###-###-####. ALL of the doctors in the practice are great - we have seen them all over the years, but Dr. Holstein in our primary doctor there, and I think she is just wonderful! I HIGHLY recommend the practice!
