I took my kids to Ohio pediatrics on Brandt Pike right by the Taylorsville intersection. They have a couple in that office to choose from and they were all great!(They are in the little group of offices right by the KinderCare).
Anyone know a good pediatrician, hopefully at least tolerant of extended breastfeeding in Huber Heights or north Dayton? We just moved back here from Chattanooga, TN, and haven't found a ped yet.

Hi A.,
I have a great group of pediatricians in Tipp City (off St Rt 571) Child and Adolescent Specialty Care, Dr Horvath and Dr. Willimitis. They also have several nurse practitioners in the office to which helps in a pinch when you need to see someone. I really like Dr.Willimitis, he is very thorough. Welcome back and good luck in your search.
Hello. I have tried Ohio Pediatrics on Brandt Pike and had a lot of trouble with them. We did not like how they handled things and actually met with them to discuss our problems before we traded. They did not seam to care and said, "well, some people are better off finding other doctors!" We left, and went to PriMed Peds on Old Troy Pike. I love it there. Dr. Horn is our primary pediatrician but we have seen all the dr. and really like each of them. The nurses have all been really great. I have never had any trouble getting last minute appointments or just calling to get info from the nurses. Good luck in your search.
Ohio Pediatrics is great. They took care of my daughter after I had her. She was very slightly jaundiced but they watched her like a hawk. They are wonderful. Personally, I drive all the way to Springboro to go to Cornerstone Pediatrics. I love Dr. Eberhart there and they are so patient with my kids. I have been using them for 4 years.
Ohio Pediatrics is really great they are on Brandt Pike.I don't have their number anymore but you can find it at yellow pages.com.My kids used to see Dr.Bloomberg and my sister's kids saw Dr.Shepard.Also if you need a family Dr. Dr. Bennett is really good and she is at the Huber Health Center and her number is ###-###-####.Ext 10 for appointments. Those are the only ones I know of.My whole family goes to Dr.Bennett now.Good Luck with the search. And welcome back to Ohio.
Hi A.! Welcome back. I don't have a doctor in your area to recommend, but just some doctor advice. Doctor's are really good at treating illnesses. They get little if any education in breastfeeding, so there is little need to discuss it with them at your daughter's age unless they ask specifically. But even then, I can't imagine why it would be an issue for them. It's your parenting decision. And goodness knows, a healthy one, so that's that! I'm a postpartum doula and breastfeeding advocate, so if you have any specific things you'd like to discuss (i.e. what to say if/when a doctor objects) then let me know....Best Wishes!
A., I take my son to our family Dr. But I don't hesitate to recommend Dr. Horn's practice to anyone. Their office is located right next to the Saturn dealership on 202.
Good Luck!
A., a great Ped is Marie Seiler, she has an office north of town and is one of the best breastfeeding supporters! D. W.

Regarding Ohio Pediatrics
I have transferred care for my 2 children to another Pediatrician. Upon arrival for my last visit at 4:41 for a 4:30 appointment I was informed I was required to re-schedule the appointments for my 2 children 3 & 5 for an alternate time due to my tardiness. Under different circumstances I would agree, but on this visit:
- 6 staff members discussing dinner plans at a local wing restaurant for the evening behind the counter in front of me
- Empty lobby besides me and the children
- I have previously shown them courtesy to wait in excess of 40 minutes when they are busy and running late on multiple occasions.
In summary, I would expect a doctors office to show its patents the same courtesy they expect from the patient in all aspects. I was never able to speak to a physician or individual with ownership interest despite multiple requests and messages left with the practice manager. In my opinion quality care extends from start to finish of the experience.
