Looking into Local Preschools for My 3 Year Old Son

I am currently in search of a great preschool in my neighborhood. So I am just wondering if anybody has found a truly exceptional one. I'm not looking for hardcore academics. But a little structure with a lot of fun play would be nice. And of course safety and amazing teachers who care about the kids benefit. I would love to hear all kinds of experiences! Thank you so much.

What can I do next?

I also live in Spokane and my son attends Villa Vista Language Academy. It's a preschool that teaches immersion Spanish. They are WONDERFUL!!! It's owned by an Occupational Therapist and she is very aware of the fine motor skills needed to begin writing and crafts. They work on writing letters, crafts, singing, games, etc. They truly care about the kids and it shows!! And to learn a language at the same time is such a great thing. My son can understand everything the teacher says and is starting to speak. The other parents are also great!!! I would love to tell you more if you're interested. Her business is also listed on mamasource--you should check it out!! :)

do not know if they have openings but check with the UCC church on 29th. they have a private school/daycare program. my grandchildren went there and my daughter felt that it was the best program that she had put them in.

I know Little Learner in Spokane Valley is great, even with potty training! I had a lot of problems with Christines Little Athletes, Kindercare and the one off 32nd and Bowdish. These were not good daycares at all, watch who you trust with your little ones! Watch the signs and if you have other ones that can tell you things, listen! They are over protective for a reason, that's their brother/sister. I finally had to go with a in-home sitter due to my late hours at work. But I do know that little learners is a great daycare and as soon as I don't have a in-home sitter (when her husband returns from Africa - Military) I will be taking my kids there! Good Luck!

I am not sure what part of town you live in but my son goes to Pince of Peace Preschool on Indian Trail off of Francis. It is great! He is in the 3's class now and it is all mostly social stuff. They dont start the academic part untill they are in the 4's. They do all kinds of amazing and creative stuff. We love it!!

Hello, I am a momma of a 16 month old boy. He attends St. Aloysius School off of Mission. One of the main reasons I love the school is the christain background. I am really frustrated with the schools now who dont allow the students to celebrate the holidays. I really feel it is important and I truely enjoy the teachers and the staff at the school.

I take my four year old to Cornerstone Christian Academy. It is wonderful, and she has developed quite a bit over the past year in a half. Her speech has improved. Very happy, and she looks forward to school, even when she is sick. These guys are terrific. They are located on 29th Ave on the South Hill, in Spokane.
