Looking for Place to Take 3 & 4 Year Old Girls to Lunch

There are a group of 4 of us that like to take our 3 & 4 year old daughters to "princess lunch" on Tuesdays. The girls get excited and get to wear one of their princess dresses. We (moms) talk for a couple hours and the girls get restless after we all eat so we need a suggestion that will accomodate the girls getting up and walking around, being silly, etc.

We are in Lake Ridge, so someplace really close is more convenient.

Thank you!

If this lasts a couple of hours, as you say, it's not lunch, it's a play date. If the kids are getting that restless in restaurants, you might want to rethink this as lunch followed by a play date in a place the kids can have more to do than hang out in the restaurant after they eat. Have lunch first somewhere kid-friendly (Silver Diner is good, I don't know if there's one near you), but then go somewhere together like a mall with an indoor play area (since it's winter). Bring lots of hand santizer, though! Or simply move the lunch to a mall with a play area...The moms can talk and the kids can play -- though climbing over play equipment in long princess dresses wouldn't be safe, so maybe don't bill it as "princess lunch" but "playtime lunch". An alternative is Chuck E. Cheese but it's not great for parents, and I'm not a big fan since it's all about arcade games and can be really loud and crowded....Of course always bring LOTS of stuff to occupy them in any restaurant--coloring pages and crayons, little games, cards, etc.

Dear L.,
There's a Chick-fil-A in woodbridge, ya'll could eat then let the girls play in their play area. They do provide purell. Also there's Ikea in Woodbridge by Potomac Mills. Yummy healthy inexpensive food and then ya'll could drop of the girls in their supervised play area.

Paradiso on Franconia Road offers a children's room where they play Disney movies. Moms can sit in the adjacent room and enjoy adult talk, but also see them and attend to any needs. My family also likes Old Country Buffet -- instant food is easier with little ones. It might also be possible to take them to a fast food with hamster-style kid tunnels sort of place. There are McDonalds in Arlington and a Chick Fill A in Herndon.
