I agree w/the other moms. Dr Bain in Frisco is the way to go.
I wish I had known about her earlier cause maybe I wouldn't have had the issues w/my son.
Hope this helps.

I am looking for a female pediatrician in the area and that is pro breastfeeding.

We love Dr. Marcy Berry -- ###-###-####. She is located at the northwest corner of Spring Creek and Custer (actually on Spring Creek, just west of Custer). Call her!
I have heard very good things about Dr. Bain, as others have mentioned, but we see Dr. Nicole Sutton at Pediatric Healthcare Associates on Eldorado in McKinney. She is pro breastfeeding as well. My son had a dairy and soy allergy that we discovered around 4 1/2 months old. He was only breastfed. But we made it work. I cut all dairy and soy from my diet, and we did everything possible so that I could keep breastfeeding. My son turns 1 on Sunday and we are still breastfeeding successfully. I think many doctors would've just said to switch to non-allergenic (expensive!)formula, but we made it work!
We take our son to Dr. Ana Gomez at Presby in Plano. She is really great, thorough, and definitely is pro breastfeeding. Her office number is ###-###-####.
I concur....Dr. Deborah Bain in Frisco is fabulous...
All About Childern's Pediatrics in McKinney are GREAT!!
Dr. Smith is wonderful, she is a soft spoken & gentle doctor.
Although you asked for a female pediatrician, Dr. Burton is great also if you can't get an appointment to see Dr Smith.
One suggestion though, do not see Holly, not only have I had a bad experience with her, but I have run into a few mothers, total strangers, the most recent at McDonald's who said "....but DON'T ever see Holly...."
AACP's phone number is: ###-###-#### located off on the West side of El Dorado acrossed the street from the Capitol One Bank.

I take my 4 year old to North Dallas Pediatrics. His pediatrician is Lori Seibert however there are 4-5 doctors in the network of offices as they have an office in Plano and Frisco. I believe 2 of them are females. For well check ups your child would see your choice of Pediatricians however if you have to go on for a sick appointment, you may have to see one of the other doctors.
We also love Dr. Bain. We tried Dr. Burton at Healthy Kids Pediatrics and liked him too, but his office staff is not great. I had several phone calls not returned and records lost. I went to him based on a recommendation, ignoring a bunch of bad reviews for his staff on other internet sites. After dealing with the office staff for a very short time, I moved on to Dr. Bain and we are much happier.
S.,
I have been taking my children to Dr. Marcy Berry for the past 5 years. I nursed both of them, and she never said, or did anything to make me think she did not support it. She is a really caring, friendly, and knowledgeable doctor. I can not imagine taking my kids to anyone else. I did have a different doctor for the first year of my oldests’ life, and I hated it. Dr. Berry's staff is always friendly, accommodating, and we never have to sit in the waiting room for too long. You should give her a chance; I know you will not regret it. Her number is ###-###-####. Her office is located near the corner of Spring Creek and Custer in Plano.

Dr. Anna Gomez at Kidsdocs Pediatrics offices in the Plano Presby complex. She's been my kids pediatrician since they were born. Is very friendly, accessible, and doesn't skimp time discussing any concerns during appointments. ###-###-####.
Dr. Bain hands down......LOVE LOVE LOVE HER. She is an answered prayer for our family.
We see Dr Frank at Pediatric Healthcare Assoc. in McKinney. I also hear Dr. Burton's office has a lactation specialist on staff.
We also go to Dr. Bain and LOVE her.

The two most supportive pedi's in McK/Allen/Frisco (supportive of breastfeeding, parent's intuition, parental decision regarding antibiotics and vaccination choices) are: Cheryl Eley (right next to McKinney Medical Center) and Deborah Bain (121 and Preston area). Most of my childbirth students find that the two of them work well for all of their families, though I would interview both to see which personality you like best.
Blessings,
S.

Don't hesitate a single minute longer to call Dr. Deborah Bain. www.healthykidspediatrics.com. She's awesome, pro-breastfeeding and has great knowledge of nutrition for kids and refers to conservative, non-invasive, complimentary care when needed. You'll even love her nurse practitioner, Christy. They have a great team and a warm environment. I'm sure many mom's on this board would agree! God Bless!

I have had excellent feed back from my clients on Dr. Miranda Ramirez. She is located in Plano at 3608 Preston Rd. just north of Parker and south of Spring Creek Pkwy.

We use Dr. Debra Bain in Frisco. She is very supportive of breastfeeding. Breastfeed her own son for over a year. She has a very holistic approach to medicine and will provide us natural alternatives whenever possible. Also supports a delayed vaccination schedule.
