Excellend Pediatrician in Plano Area??

I would recommend Jason Moshier, MD or North Dallas Pediatrics. All the doctors in this practice are great -- but my son is one of his patience and now that my son is a little older and becoming more aware of his body, I'm grateful that I have a male pediatrician for him. He's a great doctor, very knowledgable and great with the kids. His number is ###-###-####

North Dallas Pediatric Associates has offices in N. Dallas, Plano, and Frisco. All the doctors are top noch. We use Dr. Carolyn Evans and can't say enough about how wonderful she is!

Dr. Peter Sherrod is good and no question is a dumb question. He respects moms and gives explainations in great detail. My daughter had her 2 month well check today and he is very gentle. They are quick to see their patients so no long waits, at least for me. I use to take my 3 year old to Pediatric Place and they do more well checks. I felt like I was there every month. It's expensive and we don't have insurance. Anyway, there are not many people who don't know of him in Plano. In my opinion I would give him a shot.

We love Dr. Richard Daniels. His office is at the intersection of Renner Road and North Garland Ave. I think this is in Richardson, but we live in East Plano and it's an easy drive from here.

We love Dr. Newton at Centennial Pediatrics (Coit and 121)... his practice is actually technically Frisco. We have been with him for 5 years (since leaving the NICU) and he got us through a lot with calm and patience. He does not over medicate, believes in vaccinations, and will refer to a specialist as needed. We have been very happy. The entire practice is good. They schedule all their well visits for the morning (babies first) so they have the afternoons for sick visits, they have several waiting rooms so we are not sitting in the big waiting room for very long, and they stay until all sick visits are seen. They have one Doc every Saturday until Noon.

Also, I have heard that anyone at Richardson Pediatrics is great. Dr. Crowe and Porter are the 2 names that come to mind there. Haven't used them but they have a fabulous reputation.

Dr. Rhonda Merchant, Legacy Pediatrics

You won't find a better pediatrician. We've followed her through three locations. She spends time with you, answers all your questions, remembers the kids names and activities. We had a problem with bullying at our daughter's school a couple of years ago and she wrote a letter for me about the damaging effect it was having and even had her nurse call around to help me find a counselor. I can't say enough good things about her. We started seeing her when my son was 9 months old (he'[s 9 now). My oldest just turned 13 and she doesn't want to switch to the family doctor. They all love Dr. Merchant; they love going to the doctor.

Our family used Dr. Carolyn Evans for our daughter (the youngest of our 3 children) and Drs. Jason Moshier and Allan deVilleneuve with our 2 boys. Every mother knows each child is different and their office definitely treated our children as individuals, never rushing them through, taking the time to talk with them and me in order to discover exactly what the needs might be.

Hands down - Dr. Rhonda Merchant! We, too, have followed her from McKinney to Plano. She now has her own office and won't be moving again!! My son adores her! She is attentive and caring and very thorough. Her nurses are great about returning calls and helping you over the phone. The other doctor in her office is good, too, if you have to go in on Dr. Merchant's day off. Her name is Dr. Mutyala, and she's equally as caring and thorough. Good luck! I have taken ALL eight of my children there. They have helped with all the little things of childhood and been excellent beyond belief when the occasion big things arise. They are common sense in their approach. I can't say enough good about both Dr. Hidalgo and Dr. Colberg---we've been through hospitalizations with both of them and they're the BEST.

I would love to recommend my daughter's pediatrician, Dr. Laurie Berger. She is at Plano Presbyterian. Her # is ###-###-####. I really like Dr. Berger alot. In fact we just saw her yesterday for my duaghter's 3 year old well check-up. One of the things I love about Dr. Berger is that she knows my child - she isn't just another patient that she knows nothing about. My daughter is a special patient - she had a heart transplant last year, and though my daughter had her transplant in Houston at Texas Chidrens, Dr. Berger has done an awesome job of keeping track of Gabby's progress and what her needs are. She shows great compassion and concern and takes the extra time to make sure together we are all giving my daughter the best care possible. I am very happy with her!

I have to recommed Dr. Aaron Kaplan. He is a sole practitioner and he offices out of Plano Presby. Since he is he only doctor you never have to sit in the waiting room long to get in to see him. He has a wonderful Nurse Practitioner too. He has an amazing "bedside" manner that just works. You have to meet him to know what I mean. I could always get in easily when the kids were sick. Unfortunately we had to change doctors because we moved across town and it just took too long to drive. But we have yet to find someone who compares to him and his office. (Oh yes, and nurses...incredible!!). And wait til you see the office...absolutely phenomenal! The kids do not feel like they are at the hospital/doctor's office...which was important to us because our eldest had several trips to the ER as a toddler. Absolutely love Dr. Susan Sickler at Willow Bend Pediatrics. They are located on Communications Parkway just down the street from Plano Presbyterian Hospital. ###-###-####.

We absolutely love Marcy Berry. Her office is located at Spring Creek and Custer in Plano. Her staff is great and she is amazing. We are always able to get in. They have sick appointments on Saturday, but they are connected with Pediatrics after Hours which is open whenever the office isn't.

I second Dr Sherrod. He was on D Magzine several times voted best Pediatrician amount his peers.

I think he is also co-owner of Pediatric After Hours on Legacy and Independent. PAH is one of the places they see kids after doc's offices are closed, like urgent care center. However, they only charge regular co-pay, which to me is an very ethical way to run business.

I moved here two years ago and someone recommended Pediatric Specialists of Plano. We see Dr. Jeff Berkowitz and cannot say enough good things about him. He is very caring, spends time answering questions and treats your concerns seriously instead of just acting like you are a nervous mom. He talks to my son and not just to me. My son (5years old)loves going to see him, he calls him the funny doctor. Would highly recommend him.

Dr. Scott Katz with Plano Pediatrics at the Medical Center of Plano is fantastic. He has got to be one of the nicest pediatricians around. Both of my sons absolutely love him. They are 1 and 3 years old. My 3 year old actually loves him so much he asked to dress up like him last Halloween. Dr. Katz is Board Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. In addition, all of the nurses there are fantastic. They are all so nice and treat each and every child lilke they are the cutest, smartest, greatest kid in the world. It's reallly cute. They have hours on Saturday as well.

We also love Dr. Moshier with North Dallas Pediatrics in Plano off of 15th & Coit. He is AWESOME with 1st time moms. He'll spend as much time as needed answering all of your questions and explaining things. They are open 1/2 day in the Plano office for sick visits.

David Mobley, MD ###-###-#### with Pediatric Associates. He is in practice with Dr. Stone, Smith and Shouse (all women). They are located inside Presbyterian Hospital of Plnao (which is excellent as well). The whole group is wonderful and can fit in same day sick appointments and I believe they have Saturday AM appointments.

Love, love, love my pediatrician at Plano Presby. We have been with Windhaven Pediatrics since my first daughter was two (she is now 7). Dr. Hann has given nothing but excellent/precise care to both my girls and we will add our third child to her patient list in February. She has a group of Dr.'s with her. We have also seen and been pleased with Dr. Herrera. There are two other Dr.'s there that we haven't seen but our friend's have and they are also pleased. Good luck.

Dr. Jules C. Monier (male) is absolutely fabulous! Delivered both of my babies, C-section, can barely see my scars. He has wonderful bedside manner.

His office is located directly behind Medical Center of Plano at Coit and 15th Street. Which will put your delivery at Medical Center of Plano if you choose. I had a 5 year span between the birth of my children and the maternity ward completely changed during that time. The food and the rooms are great during your stay.

I love my pediatrician. His name is Dr. Scott Katz. He is located on Coit and 15th in the building to the west of Medical Center of Plano. I have a daughter that is four and a 7 1/2 month son and he has been awesome with both. I also like all of the Nurse practioners that you are able to usually see within 30 minutes of calling for a sick child. They are also open on Saturday mornings.
