Seeking a Good Pediatrician in McKinney

Dr. Jeff Alvis is a great pediatrician here in Mckinney. Also Dr. Cheryl Eley if you prefer a female.

We see Dr. Kessinger at Pediatric Healthcare Associates on Eldorado Pkwy in McKinney. There are several other pediatricians in the office as well and they are all great. My girls 6 and 2 also love the train in the waiting area. We have never in 5 years had a prblem being seen and the staff is wonderful.

I know of a wonderful pediatrician in Mckinney. We live in Melissa and were referred to her when we moved here. Her name is Dr. Eley. She is at Childrens Choice Pediatrics and her office is in the building that is attatched to the Medical Center of Mckinney. Her phone # is ###-###-####. I use Dr. Bain at Healthy Kids Pediatrics in Frisco. She is great and really listens to you. She also takes a somewhat holistic approach to medicine, which I agree with.

Pediatric Healthcare of McKinney on El Dorado, near Lake Forest is outstanding. There are 3 physicians and 1 nurse practicioner. There is alwasys someone on duty, 24 hours a day; one year I had to call in the evening on Christmas Eve. The nurse that I talked to was nice and didn't hurry me, she spent time with me so that I didn't have to take my child to the ER (the only place open on Christmas Eve). They are wonderful! I've been with them for over 9 years and have seen all 3 physicians and the nurse practicioner at one time or another. Good luck to you!

Oh, I live in Frisco, near Preston Road and love them so much I won't move to a doctor closer to me.

Dr. Todd Burton or Dr. Tammy McConnell at All About Children Pediatrics, on Eldorado just west of 75. You won't have to wait quite as long for McConnell and they're both incredible, and have amazing nurses. We've been going there since my oldest (8 1/2 yrs.) was 4 days old.

We use Dr Sutton at Pediatric Healthcare too. We love her, she is fantastic!

Hi S.. We moved here from NJ about 5 months ago...it's a big transition! We are seeing Dr.Daniel Vernier at McKinney Pediatrics ###-###-####. When we moved here i asked two completely separate people about a pediatrician and they both said they went to and loved Dr. Vernier. So we went and have been very happy. Good luck! K.

The pediatrician that my kids use is All About Children Pediatrics, Dr. Todd Burton. He is located on Eldorado Pkwy. His number is ###-###-####. We have been going to him for about 3yrs now and my kids and I absolutely love the staff. I wont lie to ya, sometimes you have to wait a little past your appt time, before they call you back. He seems to spend a little too much in each room. Other than that, I recommend him to everyone. Good Luck.

I have the best pediatrician in the world, but he is in Richardson. I drive all the way from McKinney because he is that awesome. He's been in practice for over 40 years. We LOVE him. His name is Gary Morchower. He is worth the drive!

Hi and welcome to Texas. We've lived in McKinney since November, and use Jay Schwartz at Collin County Pediatrics (at the corner of Coit and 121). He is new to the area, too. Coincidentally, we've been seeing him for years. He moved here from the same town as us. We started using him when my 4 year old was born. He is great, easy to talk to, and is very patient and comprehensive. He has young children, so he knows what parents are going through when our kiddos are sick. My kids are very comfortable with him and feel confident talking directly to him.

I second Pediatric Healthcare in McKinney. Dr. Nicole Sutton is wonderful as are the other Dr.s in the office. And the staff is great too. Good Luck

My 3.5 yo son loves Dr. Michelle Roberts at ABC Pediatrics. Dr. Roberts is new on staff there but I like her a lot. She is very sweet and has been a pediatrician for over 10 years. The staff is always warm, welcoming and efficient.

I also recommend All about Children's pediatrics. I see Dr. Tammy McConnell and I just love her! She is really down to earth and easy to talk with.

We love Dr. Burton at All About Children Pediatrics in McKinney. They have extended hours, and all the nurses are really nice and great with kids. Just be sure to not ever request or be scheduled with the Physician's Assistant, Holly, there. Also, he has a lactation consultant on-site for breastfeeding assistance.

Also, Healthy Kids Pediatrics...love Dr. Bain. She is in Frisco. I have switched to this doctor since she does have her MD and does some natural alternatives as well. If it wasn't for that difference, I would be with Dr. McConnell still.

We've had a hard time finding one in McKinney as well. I tried Dr. Alvis but found that he did not support breast feeding even though he said that he did. So, I would look else where if you want to breastfeed. He does have a ggod staff & good bedside manner. Anyway, Good luck.

WE really like Dr. Alves at Stonebridge Pediatrics. He has a one year old of his own and has a great bedside manner.

I take my son, 12, to my family practitioner, Dr. Rhonda Hopkins where we see Diane Womack, the physian's assistant. The are very good. Their number is ###-###-####. Do not take her to ABC Pediatrics. The doc there wanted my son to take Zoloft when he was in 2nd grade. I came home and looked it up before filling the prescription. Good thing I did. It was not to be taken under age 18!!! We immediately changed doctors.

We absolutely LOVE Dr. Jeff Alvis at Stonebridge Pediatrics. His office is at the corner of Ridge Road and Virginia Parkway. His office staff is kind, and we never have any problem getting an appointment.

I recommend All About Children Pediatrics (Dr. Burton) on Eldorado Pkwy, kinda close to 75. Love them there. Been going for 3 years now and haven't had any probs. Well, there can be a long wait at times (esp. close to lunch, maybe?), but they do have late hours 3 days/week and when we had our most recent appt. the other day (at 7p) we got right in, of course. There was no one else there. They have a beautiful new building in which they've separated the sick and well children very nicely (wasn't the case in their old office).

We use Dr. Suzanne Dugapowski (not sure how you spell her name). She is on Virginia in McKinney, ABC Pediatrics is the name of the practice. There is never a wait, you can always get in the same day, and they are open on Saturdays. The nurses call back very promptly and are very nice.

My daughter (who is now 2 yrs old) went to Dr. Burton at All About Childrens for about 10 months and finally switched. Dr. Burton's office was an absolute nightmare. You had to schedule appointments way in advance, the wait was RIDICULOUS, and Dr. Burton contradicts himself all of the time. What a nightmare the practice was, maybe it has changed but I would check out their Meet the Doctor night if I was you, and see if they fit your family. Good luck.

My kids go to RainTree Pediatrics in Allen right off of 75 behind the Allen Presbyterian hospital. We've been going there for over 4 years. The staff is really compasionate and friendly. We usually see Dr. Yuri Cook (he is great about taking time with you and answering all your questions) or Amber Jones, P.A. (she is AWESOME with the kids!!!...helps them relax, laugh and feel comfortable).

There are four doctors (Dr. Kessinger, Dr. Frank, Dr. Sutton, Dr. Menchaca) and one nurse practitioner (Sonja Estep). We normally see Dr. Kessinger, but I would recommend any one of them.

I also suggest calling all the doctors to see if they have an open house scheduled. When I was pregnant, we visited several doctors in the Allen/McKinney area. You can find out during this time what insurance they take, if they charge you the same rates as insurance companies if you don't have insurance, what their views are on various medical illnesses, general office policies, hospital affiliations, etc. That way you can get a better feel for which doctor you think will work best for you.

All About Children...I love everyone in the office...last time I went we say Holly - the nurse - I dodn't like her...but everone else is great!!

We see Dr. Wiliiam Kessinger off of Eldorado, at Pediatric Healthcarr. He is great. As are any of the others in his practice. I think at one time we have seen them all and really like them.

We moved from Missouri in 2006. We lived in Frisco temporarily with my Mom before moving to McKinney. We found Dr. Azra Jagani and absolutely love her. She's warm and friendly and the ladies at the Frisco office know us by name. I was most impressed that they can most usually get us in the same day. They also have an office in Allen.

We LOVE Dr. Jagani! I have a 4 year old son and a 4 month old daughter. And my son enjoys going to see her!
