Anyone else excited for cooler weather, Fall foliage, Pumpkin Spice candles, homemade chili, Hockey, Football, and everything else that comes with Autumn?

What's your favorite thing about Autumn?

EDIT* Yes I only wish that we had really pretty Fall foliage, it is so beautiful in the Northeast, yall are so lucky! And yes, part of me wanting Fall to come is for it to not be so hot here! I just want to be able to go outside for once! :P

@Patty W- I KNOW! I just got back from CO where it was in the 40s at night and 80s-90s during the day, I just keep thinking about that and I want that here! :D

@Amanda - I would love to be able to look up Dallas on Accuweather and there be no prediction of any weather over 100.... oh the life...

Im sooo ready :). I love the smell of pumpkin, candy corn, halloween anything that reminds me of september-november. As you know it really doesn't cool down for us around here till mid to late october but just knowing it coming makes me soo happy! Fall is my fav season and it just doesn't last long enough in texas. I hate summer so yep, may-october is mighty long to me!!! Having the crock pot cooking with a stew, open the windows for football sunday is a great feeling to me. Down here its so extremely hot foe such a long time we can't wait for the change. Up north where its icy and crazy I bet it stinks! Just depends on where you are but personally, im sick to death of 107 temps and a heat index of hell on earth!

**go cowboys :)

I can honestly say YOU are probably more excited and eager for fall than I am. My summer has been record averaged of 101 and 102,,,,,but YOU my poor neighbor in Dallas are experiencing averages of 103 and 104. It really is a difference.

YES Im totally awaiting fall!

Walks to the store and the park, outdoor shopping and eating, bike riding, rollerblading. Piles of leaves, pumpkin patches, garage sales, Halloween costumes (my girls are going to be a vampire and mad scientist) I cant WAIT to pull down the fall decoration box. (im doing it oct 1st!)....Most of all i want to open my windows and turn off the air, its getting stuffy and depressing here in houston.

A little rain would be nice too!

YES!!!! In fact I just said this to my husband yesterday. It's the cooler weather, I am just not a fan of heat and living in Florida makes me feel like Frosty the Snowman just melting away. Halloween, that's my favorite part of fall. I am a huge Halloween nut. :)

I am ready for cooler weather! So much for the 'April showers bring May flowers' here in Texas. Perhaps some rain this fall might be nice. But my favorite thing about fall is being able to wear different clothes - like actual jeans (not capris, not shorts) or long sleeved shirts. It's a whole new wardrobe when fall and winter come and I welcome it.

YES!!!

My husband just said this to me this am - he was so excited it wasn't roasting outside on our way out the door.

I cannot WAIT for halloween, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin spice candles and chilly nights that require a blanket!

My favorite thing about Autumn is pumpkin patches and petting zoo field trips with the kids.
Just looking at a field of orange pumpkins is theraputic in knowing Thanksgiving and time with family is right around the corner - ahh!
Oh - also knowing I can run outside and not drop over from heat exhaustion after the first mile - LOL!

I'm just a few miles from you AND I AM SOOOOO READY for it to cool off!!! I miss opening those windows and getting that awesome fresh air. I'm a Texas native and I'm quite used to the hot temperatures, however, this Summer has been unreal!

I am so ready for fall as well!! My son has been talking about the pumpkin patch so he must be ready too. My favorite is the smells, like you said, pumpkin spice candles and pumpkin spice coffee creamer!! yum!!! My favorite part is when all the trees are red, orange, yellow, etc. which we get plenty of here in in NE. I too am ready for the windows to be open all the time. I sometimes open them in the wee hours of the morning, but now already my windows are closed and the air is on. Bring on fall!!!

I'd have to say one of my favorite things about Autumn is the smell of the air. It has a crisp, cool smell laced with pine. I love sleeping with the windows open and feeling the cool breeze, cuddling up to my husband under a quilt. Hot apple cider brewing on the stove, the smell of the cinnamon, cloves. The golden light the sun casts in the late afternoon.
Autumn has become my favorite season!
(Oh and now that 2 of my 4 kiddos are in school...I'd have to say another favorite piece of Autumn is back-to-school!)

I can not even tell you how excited I am for fall! It has always been my favorite season, But, when I lived in CA we didn't really have a nice fall. It was still hot, and there were no pretty colors. But now that I am here in VA, this will be my first "real" fall and I seriously can not wait!!! I am also a photographer so I am very excited about all the fall colors and fun pics I can get with it.
