Thank y'all for the replies! Its fun reading them! Idk, I guess you crave what you don't have! Like I said I've lived here my whole life and I guess im adapted to the heat better. We had about a week of snow and ice in feb and it drove me crazy! Riley, seattle sounds like my kinda place! I love rain but around here we don't just have rain, we get tornadoes as a bonus! I love a 60 degree day with a steady rain. I don't like snow and ice but this damn heat will kill ya! Never satisfied! I love the school starting thing! Lmao!

I'm a texan too of almost 3 years, and the weather is disgusting here. Depending on where I lived in my life is depending on what time of the year I love most so here is my run down according to states I've lived in:

Texas: Late November through February, it's finally cool and my kids can go outside to play!!

Minnesota: October and summers. October it isn't too cold yet and it has the smell of crisp autumn leaves, love it. Then summers are so pleasant. You can actually sit outside in the shade and not sweat and when the sun sets, the nights cool off and sitting outside with fresh lemonade watching fireflies is perfect.

Utah: December, nothing like a guaranteed snow fall for Christmas! However, if it's summer and you need to cool off, you just head up through the canyons to waterfalls/rivers and play the day away.

California: (southern) It's temperate climate makes for a year round blissful time. But, it can get depressing with no snow for Christmas (just like here in TX:().

I love October. I'm in NE and October is when the leaves change, the air smells clean and crispy, we go apple picking and it's finally not to hot to bake. Plus Halloween is my very favorite holiday.

I LOVE SUMMER! I love sweating walking from my house to my car. I love when it feels like a sauna outside. I love water, pools, flip flops, shorts, swimsuits, bbq's, late nights playing outside with the kids. Slip n slides. I love the feeling of being hot all day and walking in the house and its soooo cold it makes you sleep great.

I am one of those who gets depressed when summer is over. Our winters are horrible!!! Im dreading it sooooo much!

As much as I like the other seasons, I love summer. I love the sun, pool, heat and sleeping with the windows open. For my family summer means spending family days every Sunday with all of my family aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and grandparents. Sundays are big days for my family with church, lunch and family time to follow. We crave the summer time for this much needed family time. I guess this is why we are such a close family too! The 4th of July is also my favorite holiday because all of our family gets together and celebrates all of our military family members (other military members too!).

If we had a pool and hot weather... it would be summer.

Since we have neither, it's "winter". (we don't actually have "winter" in Seattle, unless you count 9-10 months of 40-50 degrees and raining/drizzling to be "winter" but the mountains get REAL winter... which means snow.... which means snowboarding).

I've spent my whole life traveling. I like heat in the 90-120 range (120ish is actually really fun, since your sweat evaporates before it hits your skin you never feel all sweaty/sticky, but you DO have to drink a small ocean every day). I like cold below freezing. I like crisp falls, and vibrant springs, both with blue skies.

I love the PEOPLE here in Seattle (family, friends), but man oh man, do I hate 300+ overcast days per year (250+ completely overcast), and the temperature fluctuations that go by 20-40 degrees in a day and back again so you never get USED to it, and the 2-3 measly weeks of summer that mean that air conditioning and outdoor pools just don't exist. So for those 2-3 weeks you're miserable.

I'm thinking of moving to Boston. I grew up in jungles and deserts, so I'd also go back to the tropics. A small island with waiting a month for groceries to get delivered... but I would really, really, miss the snow.

Im a Texan too and its difficult to find me without a smile on my face in October. Like you said, open the windows, i walk a lot, plan a lot of outdoor activities, have parties.

from like oct-may Texas is absolutely beautiful, but when we get into spring and summer i want to hide out inside during the daylight hours.

I am with you on this one I LOVE fall. Halloween and Christmas are my two favorite holidays and when fall starts I know they are just around the corner. I live in Florida and totally get the 9 month summer thing, I also hate the heat. People think I am crazy, but I get ecstatic when I get to get my jeans out, instead of shorts.

I appreciate all the seasons, but I mostly love the spring and the fall. The spring is misty from rain and smells sweet and looks beautiful with flowers in bloom. The fall is cozy and just cool enough without being too cold and I love how the leaves turn all those colors.

Texan to my core. I hear ya! It's so effing hot right now. It's like a blow dryer in the face at 10 am.

I like Spring. I like to drive to Austin and see the Bluebonnets. You can go to the zoo and the park without worry of a heatstroke. It's college basketball season and crawfish season. Everything starts to come to life. I love the whole renewal of it. Valentines Day and Easter. Getting in the yard and planting flowers. Spring cleaning and sprucing up the joint - oh but my favorite part......garage sales!!! They're on every corner throughout the Spring. Come on Spring

I have something from everytime of year I love.

I cant wait for summer to come into full view here. We have not been consistently warm or sunny.

I am ready for fall...but not ready for my kids to go back to school.

I think if i had to put a sticker on my favorite time of year, it would have to be Summer....bare feet, BBQ, neighbors and late nights shooting hoops:)

I love when our living room becomes the front or back yard:)

and the TV becomes a distant friend:)

My favorite time is early autumn. We have "indian summers" here where late in the summer/early fall is the best weather. I love the smell of the air, the BBQs, and the fall leaves on a sunday drive. All the colors are magical!

I'm with you Spidermonkey. I live in Florida and it is hot, hot, hot! I hate summer! I also love the fall and am looking forward to October and November when we can actually open up the windows too. Actually, in October it will still probably be a little hot to open the windows most of the time. I also love seeing the leaves change color in the fall.
