peanut butter if he is not allergic. It eats away the sticky on pretty much everything. I used it when I would get gum in my hair. No more cutting hair!
My 22 month old son had a sleep study done last night and they had to glue things to his hair to monitor him. There is still glue and gauze stuck in his hair after his bath . . . a lot of it! The lady said that most will come off with just warm water, but none of it came out after I soaked his hair and shampooed it. Any tricks to get this stuff out?
I think it is the same stuff they use for EEGs
I will first try the baby oil, then some cooking oil. No peanut butter for him as he has a food allergy and is recommended to stay away. I am hoping this works. His hair is stuck to his scalp with the gauze that was on top, kind of like paper mache.

Wow, how sad for the little guy! Mine just came out. Maybe it's the shampoo you used. Baby shampoo isn't a very good soap. Maybe use regular shampoo and then add some conditioner so you can comb it a bit while it's still in his hair. Then rinse the conditioner out. That is what I do with the kids hair if it's extra tangled. The conditioner makes it slick so tangles/stuff just slides out.
I have been through 3 sleep studies. I just pulled out the globs and then shampooed my hair and it all came out,, no problems..
No need for oils..
If all the other things don't work, I have used goo gone on my hair:) I am not 22 months though and not sure what chemicals are in it, but I would guess if you only used on the actual hair and not scalp and then washed afterwards and kept out of eyes - it would work like a charm.
Vitamin E oil works wonders for this and will not leave that greasy look like baby oil does.
in ref to the peanut butter- veggtable oil or any cooking liquid oil will break down the gum and comb out cleaner than the sticky peanut butter....wich its the oil in the pb that is breaking up the glue.
call the nurses at the hospital and ask again telling them that glue isnt working. you might have to comb it out gentely..that is how i got the finger nail polish out of my daughters hair. used LOTS of polish remover and it didnt really work then decided to go ahead and wash her hair. once cleaned i combed through it gently and time consuming but it finally came out in globs :/
