Why Are You Still Breastfeeding?

**I'm not bashing either formula feeding or nursing just a discussion** Are you bottle or breastfeeding? I answer "breastfeeding" and I always get "Why!?" or "How are you still breastfeeding?" I only know a handful of mothers but all with the exception of my aunt (different generation) never nursed past 3 months. Same thing as women I meet or speak with in the baby aisles at the store. It really seems as if most women hate, can not, or will not breastfeed. But why? If you can breastfeed (no medical conditions) why then choose formula?...

Bottle-Fed 6 Month Old

My 6.5 month old has been bottle fed since 2 weeks old. We use the Avent bottles. We've tried to switch to the "3" nipple flow since he was 3 months, without success. It worked for awhile at around 5 months, but then he got a cold and had trouble breathing and eating and would either fight off the bottle, cough or cry so we switched back to the "2". EDIT AFTER READING SOME RESPONSES: My baby WILL NOT take a bottle/sippy cup/etc. Absolutely WILL NOT. I have tried - believe me. Also - he was eating 5 jars a day when he was 6 mos old - but he had to stay in the hospital for 6 days and didnt feel like eating solids. After that stay - he went down to two jars a day and just will not eat anymore. It is a fight to get him to eat the two jars! 13 Month Old Is Only 19 Pounds

today we went to Braydens dr appt.. a well check.. well, when she put him on the scale and it said "18" pounds, she wasnt suprised, but inside i was like, What the? then when she came back with a different scale, i figured she WAS alarmed, but hadnt shown it. so on the digital scale he was 19 pounds. my son has been breastfed since birth, and he still nurses occasionally during the day, usually when he wants to go to sleep. i would say im more of a human pacifier than a food source. lol. however he does eat other things...gerber...

How to Wean
