My husband and I are still atempting to share a car so we don't get out much. My 1 and 3 year old don't see other children that much and its starting to show when we do see other kids their size. I don't know that many other moms with children their age. Would anyone like to set up a play date for our children? I'm not really sure what else to do anymore. Does anyone have any other suggestions for getting my children the interaction they need?
Me too!! I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter and a 2 1/2 month old son and we don't get out much either. it's hard with one car and i don't have my driver's license. I live in the North York area if anybody would like to get together.
Where do you live? I too stay at home and don't know any other moms with kids our age at home (my son will be 3 this halloween and my daughter is 10 months) im not from the area (but my hubby is) so i really don't know anyone here but his family. My son loves to play with other kids his age. i feel my son needs that interaction with other kids other than his baby sister and me!

I am mom to a three-year-old little girl. I used to organize a playgroup here in the York area and just recently handed it over to my Assistant Organizer since I am working part time. We are a really fun, active, and diverse group. We meet on Wednesdays at 11 or 12 usually. Sometimes we have additional things planned as well. Hi! My name is R. and I am a single mom of a 3 year old girl. She is pretty well socialized because she goes to daycare/preschool every week day. I'd be interested in geting to know you and your children, if you'd like. I am also looking for possible sitters for my daughter on Saturdays (it doesn't matter if your interested in that or not - I'd still like to meet you). My daughter is pretty good with chilren of different ages - mostly she just gets rowdy/excited with kids of a similar age. She's usually pretty good with younger children, although she sometimes plays tattle-tale on littler kids.
I've also thought about putting my daughter in some kind of class - gymnastics or swimming or something, so I'm starting to look around to see if anyone is interested in that type of thing.
