Looking for Playgroup in the Gulfport Area

Hi Ester! It sounds like i'm in the same boat as you. I'm a stay at home mom. My son is about the same age as your youngest. He dosen't get to play much with other children. Now that the weather is turning nice i'd like to find a playground in Gulfport thats in good condition and other moms and kids frequent during the day. There is one by my house but i never see anyone there. Perhaps we should get together and start are own play group. I'm 24 and none of my girlfriends have children yet, so i am eager to meet other moms that i can relate a bit more to.

Hey E. I know how ya feel my family moves around a lot due to my husbands job in the navy So my nearly 2 year old daughter doesnt really have any inteaction with other children her age! I would love it if maybe we could get a bunch of moms and kid together once a weeks or a couple times a week and let the kids hang play! Now im a much younger mom than most of the moms posting im will be 23 in july but I just need a friend and someone to share my struggles with being a mom! Like you we are on a budget and dont have the money to go out Evey single day so if you would like to get some other woman together and start a play group i would love to be a part of it!

Where do you live? I am looking for the same type of thing!! I have 2 daughters. One is going to be a year old in a week. And another daughter who is 2 going to be 3 in September. I live in gulfport.

I am in the same boat, E... My little girl just turned 3 years old and there are no children in the area who are her age and she is the only girl on the block. My neighbors are the only people I know here, i thought about putting her in a daycare a couple of days a week so she could play with kids her own age but they are so expensive..

I have a son that is going on 4 in December. The park, if I am thinking of the same one, off Three Rivers Rd is a great park. I take my two kids there often. If you are interested in setting up a playdate for the kids then just pick a day. I am free most days (stay at home mom but attend school Tue. and Thurs.) so anytime is good. My son will greatly enjoy to play with other children his age.

I would be interested in a playgroup that mainly does inexpensive(free) meetings like parks. I have girls(ages 1 and 3). I am a military spouse and run a small business(www.biloxibouncehouse.com)If anyone started a playgroup, let me know. I could also donate a moonwalk for a large event.

This may help you. When My son was younger I used to make a deal with the local childcare center. I would Voulenteer my time there and I could bring my child to play during play time. It worked out really well. He had lots of fun and made lots of friends. So there is the Social interaction you are asking for.

I just posted the same thing I too am in the same boat I am 24 and I have a 4 yr old little girl. I don't really know many people here especially other moms and kids Ragen's age. There is a really nice park by my house well it's off of Three Rivers that we could all get together at if you would like to get something set up you can email, respond to this by the way my name is D. Donlea. This is exciting to me this is what I have been looking for! I am single mother for now I will be getting married soon but he and all his family are from Purvis so I don't know anyone down here.

I'm new to the area, If you ladies started a playgroup please let me know. I would love to me other Moms in the area. I have 4 kids. Oldest and youngest are boys middle two are girls. Ages 6, 4, 3, and 2. :)
