We are in the process of finding a home. We are thinking of a couple of different areas in FM. In one area, the elementary school is FM feeding to Downing MS. The other area is Timber Creek feeding to Lamar. And both feeding to Marcus. I have done lots of research on the internet but would like to know your personal experiences with these schools. If you had to choose, which elementary and middle school would you go with?

So What Happened?

Well, our first choice in homes (FME, Downing MS) did not come through but we found a nicer one in the Timber Creek Elementary area. Thanks for the reassurance and info about both areas. I can't wait to move!

All of the ones you mentioned are fine. If you like Marcus, then that's great. It's a good school. I like FMHS.

I know a teacher at Timber Creek, and she says it's a good school. Downing MS is newer than Lamar but I hear Lamar is very good too and have met some very nice kids from there. You can't really lose.

Hi, we live in Denton, and the schools are very good. I hear Flower Mound schools are all great as well. I have a friend who grew up there and confirms this.

I taught in FM for 5 years and think it is a wonderful community and the schools are great. Don't think you can go wrong whatever you decide.

All the schools are wonderful!. I have personal experience with Timber Creek and Lamar and would recommend them highly. My child has done outstanding grades 1-7. The principals and teachers are great!

The schools listed are great. Keep in mind they are part of the Lewisville Independent School District, which has a bond issue on the May ballot to add more schools. That means what the bondaries are now may not stay that way. Check out LISD.net for more information about the new schools being proposed. I have lived hear for over 20yrs and all the bond issues have been voted yes when it comes to bettering our children's education. Good Luck!
