Is there anyone familiar with the schools in Flower Mound. We are looking at the Marcus High School area and the Flower Mound High Schoool area. Our daughter will be in 8th grade this year, but we also have little ones going into elementary within the next 2 years. Any info., personal experience would be greatful. We live in Grapevine right now, and love the schools, but we are looking at homes here and in Flower Mound, this one's tough for us because we've been here for a while, but we need to look at all of our options.

Old Settlers Elementary and McKamy Middle School are both great schools and fairly new. My niece and nephew both went or go there. They would go to Flower Mound High School.
The zip code to use for your home searches on-line would be 75022. My nephew will also be in 8th grade this year.

Hello E.-My twins are 23 months old so not in school yet but I did teach for LISD prior to having them so I consider myself just knowledgeable enough to get myself into trouble. I'm kidding.

I'm attaching a link for LISD schools and you can check them all out but the two schools you might want to look into are Old Settlers Elementary andMcKamy Middle School which are both EXEMPLARY schools. The high schools you would feed into are either Flower Mound or Marcus and both are Recognized schools. I live near Prairie Trail Elementary which is also Exemplary and Lamar Middle School which is Recognized. My kiddos would attend Marcus High School after that.

Good luck to you!

The LISD is a wonderful school disctrict. And although my sister went to Flower Mound HS, I have nothing but good things about Marcus. It is a challenging well-rounded school, with great parent involvment! And the area is really nice too!!!

I am a graduate of Marcus HS, I have taught in the Lewisville ISD for 10 years, and I am the step-mother to a recent graduate of FMHS. You really can't go wrong with any school that feeds into Marcus or Flower Mound HS. The majority are exemplary. I know the Old Settlers area was mentioned before, but don't overlook the Bluebonnet and Garden Ridge Elementary areas. They both feed into Shadow Ridge MS (this is a year old).
