There was a very similar question recently. Please search for it.
Your questions need to go to your doctor. There's no way a woman immediately post partum should have to remember where a doctor admitted her "burned her" or what he "filled the hole with." If you don't know, you call him. Why wouldn't this info be in your after care if it occurred in the hospital? You don't google wound care. You get answers from the hospital and/or the doctor who have your records and who know you as a patient.
I'm sure the last think you feel like doing is getting a second opinion but certainly getting a written explanation of what happened iw within your or your husband's capacity to demand.
ETA: I re-read your question. Why in the world were you given general anesthesia for a simple tubal ligation? Decades ago, I worked in a reproductive health clinic and counseled women re TL procedures and even accompanied them during the operation. No one had general anesthesia - and I cannot imagine someone who had medical issues requiring GA deciding to undergo this 24 hours after delivery a baby! You need to get some much better medical advice, perhaps a new doctor, and perhaps a connection with a patient advocate/social worker.
