Cleaning a Dry Erase Board

I recently got an Easel for my son and used Melissa and Doug Dry Erase Markers on the dry erase side and they won't come off? Has anyone had this happen? What can I use to get the marker print off the board? I have tried a soft towel and damp cloth and it won't come off?

What can I do next?

Hey K.! Take a good set of dry erase markers and color the entire board, then wipe clean. The new marker picks up the old and it should wipe 100% clear. Works everytime for me.

Good Luck,

D.

I've discovered the longer you wait to wipe it off, the harder it is to get off. Have you tried glass cleaner?

I use alcohol or fingernail polish remover on a cottonball or kleenex. Works everytime!

Rubbing Alcohol or Windex is what I always use. If you wait longer the harder it will be to get it off. You will need to really put some "elbow grease" into it. We have HOA signs that are dry erase that we put at our entryway announcing meetings. They stay out for days at a time in the heat and the marker gets baked onto the signs. That is why I say alcohol or windex.

I use plain old alcohol. I put it in a spray bottle and use it to clean up every time. :)

Try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. You just wet it, ring it out and then rub off the marks. I should have stock in these things! They take almost EVERYTHING OFF! Good luck!
