Keep checking for black friday ads. I have seen several for washer and dryer combos cheap!
Hello, My husband and I are moving this month and need to buy a Washer/Dryer and a Refrigerator. We are on a budget, but would like to get something nice. Does anyone have any advice about good places to look. We are open to buying used, but obviously want to make sure they are in good shape. We are also interested in a front loader washer. Any good stores to look at would be great.
Thank you so much.

Assuming you're in the KC area, try the Sears scratch & dent store down on Front St., I believe, near the Flamingo (is it Isle of Capri now?) Casino. We got our W&D, fridge, freezer, and stove for our new house there - many items are 1/2 of retail due to minor defects. If they don't have what you're looking for right now, hook up w/ a salesperson, and they should be willing to take down your information & details about what you want & call you when a match comes in.
When we moved into our house, we got our appliances from Clarks Appliances. They are a GE scratch and dent store in Raytown (63rd St and Raytown Rd). They were wonderful! They also do their own warrantee stuff so if you have any problems at all, they will either come and fix it, or call the people who can do the repairs for you. They deal with all the paperwork and you just have to be there when the repair man comes. SO NICE! Some people might be turned off by the whole scratch and dent thing but a lot of times, the stuff that is scratch and dent really isn't all that scratched up. We got a brand new stove that doesn't have a single scratch on it for a lot cheaper because it had just been shipped back because it was the wrong color or something. They also have brand new stuff at really good prices. Craigslist is also a good place to go if you are not worried about the warrantee.
Hi...
Yes, there is a place up North (at least I think it's still there, it's been 4 years since we bought our appliances there). It's Sears, but it is their "scratch and dent" store. Everything is basically new, but when it was delivered to someone, it got a scratch or dent on it, so it was returned. We got our fridge for half the price and it had a scratch on it that was on the side that you can't even see because of the counters next to it. The same with our washer and dryer. I'm not exactly sure what road it's on, but you could probably call Sears and ask them. I highly recomend this place.
Good Luck!

STAY AWAY FROM SEARS! I learned the hard way that out of four appliances I purchased NEW from Sears, three of them are actually Goldstar made. How dare Sears put their Kenmore logo and name all over these appliances. Two of them are already falling apart and they are less than two years old. Sears said they had good news for me, though. The parts were under warranty--but the labor for them to replace would cost me more than the appliances!!!! I am steaming mad and will NEVER purchase Sears appliances again. And here I was thinking I was purchasing American made. Right.
Nebraska Furniture Mart...lots of selection. They also have a closeout room to check. They always have some financing promo going on too, which is great as long as you pay it off by the end of the terms date! I have used them many times for appliances, furniture & cameras, always using their great financing plans.
We just moved here from TX, so I hope you can find this here. In TX at the outlet mall, Sears had a scratch and dent store. We purchased all our appliances there. They usually still had the full warranty.
We got a newer washing machine from craigslist! Its awesome you can find anything there!
