I'm in the market for a deep freezer or spare fridge, and would like to buy one at an appliance outlet store since I don't care if it's pretty or not.
Any suggestions on where to look? I'm in McKinney, but wouldnt mind traveling for a good deal.

I've heard mixed reviews. I've gotten really great deals both at Best Buy and Lowe's in the scratch and dent section. Good luck. The craigslist idea is great...also, the paper.
They just opened a Sears outlet in McKinney at 75 and 380.

We got our freezer at Circuit City many years ago. It was a floor model, so it was deeply discounted. It didn't have a box or anything, but still had the warranty, etc. It was great deal. You might try a larger chain store and ask about the floor models.
sometimes lowe's/home depot get fridges/freezers returned because of various reasons. might try one of these places first...
We got our fridge several years ago at a Sears Scratch and Dent outlet in Carrolton (can't remember the cross streets). They have washers and dryers there too. Some have major scraches or dents, but they go for lots cheaper! We found a barely scratched fridge, but it still cost less than in the stores.
Look it up - hopefully it's still open!

Rodenbaughs in Allen has a "scratch & dent" area. It is family owend & operated and they also have excellent service on any appliance. Good luck!

We got our refrigerator at the Sears Outlet in North Dallas. It is off of Marsh I believe (north of 635). They have great scratch and dent prices, our fridge has a scratch on the side no one will ever see, but we got it for half price...We tried Rodenbaughs in Allen, but their scratch and dent prices were still pretty pricey.
Habitat for Humanity has a ReStore in Plano on Summit and Avenue N (I think, check the web site to be sure). They have great deals on appliances, though most are used. Some are leftovers from new construction, though. The Sears Outlet store in Grapevine Mills mall also has decent deals on appliances.
There is a Sears Outlet in Grapevine Mills...not sure what they have exactly, but it is an appliance store.
There is a Sears outlet in Addison (Beltline and Midway) and one at Grapvine Mills Mall.
Check on Craigslist for a good deal. Also Rodenbaugh's appliances in Allen or Plano. They have scratch and dent from the factor so their items are still under warranty.
