I'm jonesing for it. I finally watched all of season 2 a few weeks ago while I was down and out with headaches.
It's on the regular PBS station, right???
Anyone else jonesing? :)

January 6. I’ve not watched it but I’ve been hearing such good responses to it I’m planning to check it out this season. Yes, it’s on the regular PBS station.

I’ve found the videos for season 2 at the library and have place a hold on them.
My husband and i cannot wait either!!!
I watched all of Season 1 and 2 in three days when I had influenza. Loved it! My daughter (10) said “You MUST be sick, Mom, you NEVER watch TV”.
Yup, we caught it on Netflix streaming. Until I can watch season 3, I remembered I had missed the last few seasons of Desperate Housewives, and never got to see Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. So, those are keeping me busy until Downton Abbey starts up. I’ve also been watching all the seasons of Upstairs Downstairs on Netflix, which is as good as Downton Abbey, in my opinion, and takes place around the same time.
I also suggest the recent miniseries Bleak House for a good period piece, and Doc Martin, for some good ol’ Anglophile fun.
I LOVE it too! Once it resumes, it will be on Sunday nights, in the Masterpiece Theatre time slot.
Sadly for me, my husband doesn’t want to watch it with me, so since Sunday is his only day he can watch TV, I have to wait til Monday so I can watch it online @ www.pbs.org
i’m filling the time with all the jane eyres, upstairs downstairs, my family and lark rises to candleford in the meantime.
come on, DA!!!

Not soon enough! It is actually running now in England but we don’t get it until Jan.
Oh, 2girls, you got me jonesing too…It’s Jan. as others note, but lucky us, our PBS in the DC area has a new “second channel” that is all British programming, all the time, and this month that channel is re-running seasons one and two. Sure, I could watch on Netflix, but I’ll catch it all, considering how many times they run stuff on this lovely new channel!..
It’s total soap opera, and isn’t that grand? Beat the heck out of the remake of “Upstairs Downstairs” PBS was running around the same time – the one set in the 1930s. In Britian, another World War I drama called “Parade’s End” was out to challenge “Downton” in August but apparently flopped with the public. Onward to more Downton! Now, we all want to know: Will SOMEONE please be kind to Edith this season?..
If you like Downton, check out “Lark Rise to Candleford,” which has Brendan Coyle (Bates) in it. Much gentler series, without the noble family being prominent, but pleasant TV.
I believe January, can’t wait!!!
I totally forgot I asked this question!!! (I WAS recovering from surgery when I asked it…so let’s go with I was in a drug induced moment of life??)
STILL CAN’T WAIT! Thanks for the other suggestions. I will look into them. Unfortunately, the hubs hasn’t seen any of them…don’t know if I can get him to watch with me.
