Cricket Wireless....

For anyone who has ever had or does currently have Cricket Wireless, how do you like it? Coverage wise, and phone wise? We are trying to decide if we want to switch and it would be nice to know. Thanks!

My husband has a Cricket phone and he really likes it. The coverage seems to be really good and the monthly bill is pretty low. I like that there’s no extra fees or anything. His phone is $40 a month and we pay $40 a month. No fees, taxes, etc. I like that. He has the Mauve music phone which he loves but I don’t like it at all but then again I’m not a big fan of the touchscreen phone. It is smaller than other touchscreens which makes it more difficult to use, IMO. The only other funky thing about Cricket is if you pay your bill online there’s no fee, but if you pay it over the phone, in the store or (I think) on the device itself- there’s fees. The amount depends on which way you pay though- somewhere between $2 and $5.
But overall we’re happy with Cricket. Once my contract is up on my TMobile I think I’m going to switch over to Cricket too. Way cheaper.

I’m thinking of changing providers. I’ve discovered that Radio Shack has access to several different companies, including Cricket as well as the major brands. I think other electronic stores do too. I’d go to a store that has experience with several brands and ask what their customers’ experience has been.

The Radio Shack that I went to said that Cricket has more dropped calls than any of the other brands and their price and service is comparable to some other not so well known brands.

I have it and think its decent. Coverage is great, actually I have service in places where I didn’t with T-mobile. NO hidden or surprise fees, when you sign up they tell you what your bill will be and that’s what it is.

Now their phones aren’t the greatest, well the ones I buy, but I’m cheap when it comes to phones :stuck_out_tongue: Example…the phones I’ve had (2) don’t have sim cards so there is no way to get the pictures off of it. You would either have to text them to another phone or email etc them. I didn’t know that going in and I really don’t like that. I would assume this may not apply to a smart phone, but I don’t know.

Oh, if you don’t want to pay a fee you need to pay your bill online, in-store or over phone is a 3 dollar fee.
