Treating Diarrhea from Antibiotics
My 2yr old came down with a nasty cold with an ear infection. My pediatrician prescribed an antibiotic and 48 hours after starting, my son developed diarrhea. It got better after removing fruit and fruit juice from his diet, but it continues at least once a day. I've put him on a very bland diet with yogurt (which is what I put the medication in) and crackers, cheese puffs, and pedialyte. I've offered rice and soup, but he wants nothing to do with it. I give him the antibiotic with yogurt at breakfast and at dinner and then a yogurt...
