Severe Nasal Congestion

My (almost) 1 year old is sick with a nasty cold yet again. I have tried saline nasal spray and the nasal aspirator, both of which work, but make her cry. A vicious cycle! I also elevated one end of her crib to help her sleep. She is so congested she can hardly breath or eat, and is waking herself up with coughing. I wish infant nasal decongestants were still on the market... Any suggestions would be most appreciated!

Flonase or Nasonex and Breastfeeding....

My seasonal allergies have flared up just recently. I'm unsure if I can use Flonase or Nasonex. My doctor said I could use it while I was pregnant. Now that I'm breastfeeding, I'm not sure if it's okay to use. While I've heard that some medicines can cause your milk to dry up, I've heard that nasal sprays are okay for the most part. I don't want to stop breastfeeding to be able to take medicines. I'd rather suffer with the allergies! I'm just wondering if anyone has used these nasal sprays while breastfeeding.

Homeopathic Remedies for Ear Infections? Milk Connection?

I went to a store today as a last ditch effort and the lady there told me to try a homeopathic tablet for his left ear, stop the whole milk, and also try primadophilus. She explained most babies get ear infections when they start cow's milk because of some sort of an allergy. It kind of made sense to me because both my boys never had an ear...

Breastfeeding and Medications

Hi, just wanted to see if anyone else has this problem and what you did about it. I currently have an almost 4 month old daughter. I am nursing and it is going great! Since I had my baby, my sinuses have been giving me problems. It came to a head about two weeks ago and my nose completly closed up. Because of this, I could not breath and could not sleep. After about two weeks of this and taking over the counter medications I broke down and went to an allergist. He has me on oral steroids, nasonex, zyrtec and 20 days of anitbiotics. ...
