Either ask the school if there is charity box or if they know of any mothers willing to sell you there used leotards. You can also try salvation army.
Where is the best place (inexpensive) to buy dance clothes for a toddler. I need to get her something long sleeve for the winter but I think the $30+ leotards at the dance shop are a little much for a 3 year old and target online was $20. I don't want to sound too cheap, but between shoes and the clothes it's getting pricey! Any suggestions?

You might try the store Once upon a Child. It is a children's resale shop in Rochester Hills on the NW corner of Rochester Road and Square Lake.
My daughter took tap last yr and I got her leotard and tights at walmart. I think I might have payed 10 for the leaotard but hers was short sleeved. there pretty reasonable.
I have found some at Kohl's, Salvation Army and second hand shops.
Have you tried Target? They have pretty inexpensive leotards.
Walmart has plain pink or black ones for about $8. I think they were in the bigger girls' section, not by the toddler clothes.
try the resale shop.
The kid resale by me has lots of dance wear.
D.,
Check out Children's Orchard at Hayes/Hall Road as well as a kid's resale shop at 16 Mile Road/Dequindre and another on Rochester Road a couple of miles south of M59.
:)
I have found them at second hand stores, garage sales and mom to mom sales.
Also Meijer and Walmart have them fairly cheap.
Target and Kohls were the most expensive.
But for her tights, I ended up getting them at Kohls. They are not dance tights, just regualar pink ones. They look the same and they were a lot cheaper.
There is a resale shop in Lake orion, called Twiced blessed that has girls dance shoes and clothes. All in great condition and really inexpensive. they are located on broadway next to the childrens park.
Hi another place to try is ebay and craiglist.
