I am trying not to go over $1500 for a fam vacation. Having a problem, everything is closer to $2000. Do you have any suggestions please? The airfare is not a prob we fly free on southwest airlines.

What can I do next?

We spent about that much for 4 nights at Great Wolf Lodge. It was a BLAST... the kids are still talking about it 6 months later!

Good Luck!

What about a "stay-cation"? Spend a week living at home (so you don't have to pay for a hotel) and then plan a new activity each day - the zoo; the aquarium; science museum; paint your own pottery; etc.

Anytime you're going on a vacation that includes travel, particularly airfare, and hotel it's going to get expensive.

Have you looked at Great Wolf Lodge? I don't think it's the cheapest place, but maybe a couple of nights would be fun.

I have 3 timeshare weeks that expire this year and am selling them for $1200 each - 7 nights at a great resort. I basically call RCI and see what's available...locations everywhere...call me if interested - ###-###-####. I just checked Mexico locations for someone else and found a few for Spring Break.
