Lifetime fitness vanilla. Mixed with oj. With hot weather coming could also freze into small popsicles.
I am on track to have gastric bypass in the fall after years of going back and forth, and I need to start trying some protein shakes. Back in 2009 when I was going to do it the first time, I didn't like any of the brands I got from the nutritionist.
But my new nutritionist wants me to try some more. Sof is there a good brand where they are acceptable tasting and texture? Or do you make your own?
Thanks!

I like the GNC store brand - Chocolate Carmel flavor
For me the key is to have the water being ICY Cold
For ready made I like the EAS ones Chocolate Fudge
It is all about personal taste though
i haven't tried the GNC brand but i want to, i hear they taste the best.
costco is okay.
the best one i've tried so far is (weirdly) nutrisystem. they're so good that my dh and i are thinking about paying the $49 to keep our status active even though we're not ordering the food any more just so we can keep ordering their shakes.
i also get organic raw hemp protein through Natural Zing to add to my green smoothies. it doesn't change the taste at all (which isn't an endorsement, i drink green smoothies dutifully, not with joy) but adds a protein punch.

I don't know if cost is an issue but if it isn't, I would highly recommend Shakeology. It is one of the fwe on the market that actually is good for you all around. I love the taste, texture, all the good nutrients plus it kept me regular too! The only downside for me is that a 30-day supply runs about $130.00 including S&H. If they could do it for cheaper, I would be addicted to it!!!! They offer great recipes too so you can change it up at any time.
Good luck!
Shakeology is awesome! If you want something in a store I like syntha-6. A lot of guys use it because UFC fighters drink it but it is actually good.
Good luck on your surgery!
I drink Dymatize Elite Gourmet. Its a whey and casein blend. The chcolate peanute butter is to die for! As long as I whip or mix it well, there is no texture. I even add it to my coffee and any bfast batter mixes like bran muffins, banana bread and pancakes.
EAS tastes funny to me and Special K is just too sweet. DEG is 21g protein, 1.5 total fat, no sugar and 6g carbs.
My husband likes the strawberry Myloplex shakes. He only buys the premade ones. I tried the Muscle Milk Light Vanilla and it was awful. My husband told me that none of them are very good you just have to get used to it.
I really like the Special K protein shakes. I could never choke down slim fast or any of those other products but actually like the taste of special k milk chocolate and it has a more milk like texture than it is thick.
I absolutely love Arbonne's Figure 8 protein shakes. I am not affiliated with Arbonne in any way, so I am not trying to sell them to you, I promise! :) I buy them from my MIL and my whole family loves the chocolate flavor.
I have never liked a protein shake in my life until I tried the Figure 8. I actually look forward to drinking it!
Good luck!
Costco...Orgain nutritional drink....creamy chocolate fudge or vanilla
My husband and kids like Designer Whey. It mixes well even without using a blender.
If you have a Costco near you they sell a brand of ready to drink shakes called Premier Protein High Protein Shake...my husband and I like the Chocolate flavor the best. Also, we just tried the Strawberries N Cream GNC Total Lean ready to drink shakes that is really good too. They come in other flavors as well.
