What Is with the Answers Timing Out and You Lose Them?? - MODERATORS????

I just wrote a novel to the mom whose son is struggling socially. It took me a good 20+ minutes to type and usually I copy my answer before posting just incase it does the "you took to long to answer and I will not post your very long thought out response". But I didn't and it didn't post it is now lost somewhere in cyber space and I am royally ticked off!!!

So, Moderators....CAN YOU FIX THIS IT IS SUPER ANNOYING!!!!! I spend 20-30 minutes to help another mom to have it poof if I don't remember to copy it and "save" it before posting. So I can paste it into a new box....ARGH!!

Anyone else having this issue??....sorry mom with lonely child....I had a good answer...but I am not retyping it again now....sigh!!

Margie G. I also use Chrome and ad blockers...it just seems the answers "time out" and won't post if you take too long to answer them.

What can I do next?

I have never had that happen to me, and wondered what you were talking about... until I just tried to respond to the high school selection question. Wrote a nice lengthy response... "server busy..." and my response disappeared when the page reloaded.

Ugh.

I am not sure if I understand what you are saying but I am guessing it is when you hit post and it takes you back to the home screen? If that is the case I hit the back button and hit reply and my response is still there.

Happens all the time, and it's a pain. What I do is actually write out a long response in a Word document, get it right, and see spell check at work, and then I copy THAT and post it to Mamapedia. Works much better in the short run. Besides, any website can crash (not just Mamapedia with its delays) and your stuff can be lost. At least if it's in Word, if your computer crashes or freezes, document recovery will save it.

I feel your pain!! : ) This has happened to me many times. Very frustrating.

Best suggestion --- Until there is a fix for this, if you're going to write anything lengthy, write your answer in a separate document, and then copy and paste here.

There must be a mountain of "lost" answers somewhere out there in cyberspace!

My Mamapedia has been funny lately. It hasn't been at all since I switched to Chrome and use Ad Blocker. But lately it's been acting up.

It happened to me and I agree is super annoying. I thought my iPad was acting up though.
