G.T.
I just recently saw something similar to what you're referring to at Buy Buy Baby in Downers Grove. They just opened recently. It's on Butterfield Road just West of the Bed Bath and Beyond.
They used to sell the baby seats for the bathtub with the suction cups on the bottom to help them sit up and play. Does anyone know where I can get two of them (I have twins) or what happened to them? I know the only one they sell at the stores are for smaller babies and my boys are ten months old and ready to sit and play in the tub. Thanks.

Some were recalled because they were unsafe. Pretty much any baby book/parenting magainze will list them as something not to use because they have caused accidents.
I actually had this same question when I was looking for a baby seat recently and finally went another route, but... last week I went to the new baby store by my house, Buy Buy Baby, and they had quite a few options available. If you're not familar with the store it is new to the area and is similar to Babies R Us, but owned by Bed, Bath, and Beyond (so super organized and nice!). The only one in Chicago is in Downers Grove, right off of 355 and Butterfield Road (intersection of Butterfield and Finley). Since you're not far, it could be worth the trip! Good luck!
Hi there-
I found a couple of different kinds for you.
1) http://www.csnbaby.com/asp/show_detail.asp?sku=SFT1116&am...
2) This one looks awesome if you are short on space
http://www.amazon.com/Dream-Baby-Fold%252dAway-Bath-Seat/...
3) There are a ton more. Just go to www.amazon.com and check it out.
Hope this helps and yes, they do seem to be not readily available.

I was just at Buy Buy Baby (a new babies r us type store in Downers Grove on Butterfield and Finley) and saw them. I think they might have had a couple different ones.
Steph- Your search is over! They are located at Buy Buy Baby in Downers Grove off of Butterfield Road. This store is awesome! Next to Petsmart (strip mall)-yorktown mall area. It is organized just like a Bed,Bath,Beyond. The baby seats are there! I just bought them for my twins about a month ago. They are called Aquababy in white or blue. I think it was $21.99. If you sign up for their email list too, you'll get coupons for 20% off by mail. Babies R Us has a version of the bath seat, but theirs has an arm that is connected to the bath seat, which did not work for our house, since we have shower doors.
I know what you're talking about, as I had one I used for all 3 of my kids, but honestly, they're not that big. They're mostly made for babies under 6 months old that cannot sit up on their own. At 10 months, you really shouldn't need it anymore unless your boys are a bit behind in development. (Which is quite common to twins, but they catch up fast!)
Sorry!
Not sure about the seats, but I know a friend who twins to who used her bumbo seats in the tub and said they were great for keeping the kids sitting up while they bathed and the seats dried quickly.
I have looked at so many stores for my 9 month old....the only place is on-line target, wal-mart etc.....
Try Amazon .com and type in Safety 1st Tubside Bath Seat in the search. The seat appears to be around $20 and looks like an updated, safer model from the old ones. They have several pictures of it and even one with twins! Good luck and remember to constantly watch the babies when they are in the seats.
I see a TON of these at garage sales!
I too tried to find these when my now 4 year old was a baby. I finally found one at a garage sale. I believe they stopped making them because of idiot parents that would leave the bathroom while their baby was in them creating a drowning hazard. You also might want to check Ebay.
S.,
Thank you for asking this! I've been looking for months! I tried garage sales, but no luck. I'll try Buy Buy Baby. ALSO, my 9 month old son has been sitting on his own since he was 5 months, but he still can't sit too well on the slippery bathtub bottom! (And no, he's not behind in development, as I'm sure yours aren't either!)
we found a safety first at babies r us. It has an attachment that you put on the side of the tub to rest against. we also have a stool to kneel. My daughter likes her seat a lot!
Hope this helps.
I would call your local toys r us or babies r us. I had bought mine there and saw it there last year.
I have 18 month old twin girls and finally found some bath seats at The Right Start http://www.rightstart.com/global/store/product~item~6570~...
In case this link doesn't work, it's the Aquababy Bath Ring and it sells for $29.99. I looked high and low and this was the only one I found. They love them (although now they can climb in and out of them) and has made bath time a whole lot easier!
S., have you tried Once Upon a Child? They have "gently" used and new baby clothes and accessories. You can even trade your used items in for cash or an in store certificate. I'm sure you might be able to find something there! Good luck!
