Personally, I love LiveJournal. It's free, it's easy to use, you can post publicly, privately or for a selected group of friends, and they have a bunch of communities you can join so you can meet people with similar interests.
So, I have been looking at a few different sites to start blogging on, since this isn't really the best long term format. Mamapedia did say that they would consider a submission from me for their City Voices section, so we'll see where that goes. I'll still be on here asking and answering questions, too. However, I want to be respectful of Mamapedia and abide by their guidelines. This just isn't the place to have a daily blog and I need to continue because it's been very therapeutic for me.
I have checked out a few sites, but am new to the world of blogging. I don't have time to screw around with tons of formatting, nor am I good at that kind of stuff. What sites do you recommend? I cannot post any links, etc. to wherever I do start blogging, so if you want to keep reading our story, please check my profile on here for that info. Thanks:)
I finally got a blog and just put up my first post today (5/9/11). If you click on my profile, you can find the information to follow my blog. Thanks for all of your help!

Blogger is very user friendly and you can make your blog private/invite only so you post things safely.
I am a computer infant as far as formatting etc....and I use Xanga as my blog. It has the added benefit of a great community of folks...some of them I have even been privileged to meet IRL. I use the free version but there is a lifetime Xanga that you can purchase...I am not sure what the cost is...something around $100 if you want to do all the fancy stuff which I don't know how to do anyway....lol.
I would go with blogger.com because it is free and super easy to set up. Good luck!
I keep a blog about my son to update family that doesn't live near us and I use blogger. It's very user friendly and free (as others said below).
