D.W.
Nope, she won't be able to soothe herself back to sleep at 2 months of age and you don't want to expect her to. It will set you up for lots of frustration. Self-soothing comes much later-around 6 months.
I can not recommend enough for you to learn as much as you can about infant sleep. This will help you teach your daughter to sleep and she has to be taught. Babies do not automatically know how.
I highly recommend:
Dr. Sears Baby Sleep book
The Baby Whisperer
The No-Cry Sleep Solution (she discusses co-sleeping and solutions that go with some co-sleeping issues)
Google 4th trimester
The above all have amazing tips, info and tricks that will be invaluable as you make this transition for baby and you. I was able to glean so much info that I'd never heard before and develop a sleep plan for my oldest.
