I would pick my favorite and then just tattoo the name and numberin fancy font like, Psalms 121 not all the words
so, I want to get a tattoo on my forearm of a Bible verse. It needs to be short so that it can be legible and big enough that people can easily read it. I am wondering what your fave verses are.
I am considering highly "For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans for hope and a future" jeremiah 29:11 - except I would stop after declares the Lord because otherwise it is too long.
Psalms 121 is my favorite Psalm and I have been trying to figure out a way to get part of that, but it is difficult.
So what are some of your favorite Bible versus/suggestions?
I would pick my favorite and then just tattoo the name and numberin fancy font like, Psalms 121 not all the words
Mark 4:39 - Peace be still.
Of course the great thing about a bible verse as a tattoo instead of say, a frog, is that it won't tend to look like a tadpole when you're 80.....I'm just sayin.
My favorite is Philipians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength
Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God
John 14:6
I am the way and the truth and the life.
I have 4 tattoos and they are all extremely important to me. I love the idea of using a favorite Bible verse!
my go to verse of all time... "Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10)
I love the verse you listed- but also love john 3:16 of course and almost anything in psalms. Good luck.

The one you have listed and where you are gonna stop it is perfect!
Just gonna do it in harsh jet black? That will look sick! (not sure how old you are but that means it will look great!)
I think the first verse you listed and where you plan to stop it are perfect. Go with your gut, you have good instincts.
My personal favorite is 1 John 4:10. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. That's long, and I also think the verse you use should be something that has a very personal meaning for you... so I suggest you use the one you mentioned or another of your own favorites. Personally, I'm not a big fan of tattoos, but if you like them, that's of course your business. However, might I suggest that if possible you try it out first with some type of easily removable tattoo? Then once you are sure the verse is the one you really want, and that it looks good where you have put it, you could go and get it done permanently.
do unto others as you would have them do unto you. but thats long.
I love all the 1st corinthians about love. cant remeber where at in 1st cor. something about love is not jealous and stuff like that and my bibles are packed so I cant tell you exactly what they are. footprints is cool to but it is also long. let not your heart be troubled. cant remeber where that is either.
The one you have listed is one of my very favorite, but here are a few others to consider....
‘The Lord will fight for you and you shall hold your peace’ Exodus 14:14 (King James version)
The Lord turn his face to you and give you peace’ Numbers 6:26
Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.’ Psalms 37:4
Also not sure what font you are using but I LOVE Angelic Warfare, look it up and see what you think. :)
I love the Jeremiah verse! What about putting just the reference (i.e. Jeremiah 29:11 or Psalm 121)? Another good one is "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength"? I am sorry I don't remember the actual scripture reference, but I am sure it is in Philippians. I plan to get a tatoo, but I am only going to write the reference...since it will be on your forearm, it will give you a witnessing tool when people ask you what the heck it means! ;-)
For me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21.
