"I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord "plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
I have three adopted kids from Russian orphanages. This verse has become very dear to us as we have worked our way through the struggles of growing up.
A website you may want to use to search for verses with key words is www.biblegateway.com
God is soverign. He works ALL things together for good. I lost many pregnancies. I've learned this: God picks your kids - regardless of how they come to you. And he really does use the hardships in our lives to bless us. His timing is perfect and his grace is precious.
I wish you well!

How about:
"I am fearfully and wonderfully made!"
Or if you have room for something longer: "You created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother's womb, I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made!" Ps 139:13,14
If you want an online word search/concordance you can try www.biblegateway.com I like that one a lot.
Blessings,
W.

For my son, it was very easy: a combination of Jer 29:11 and Jer 1:5--the phrase "A plan and a purpose". I know a lady that I've been VERY happy with who makes very high quality blankets and I had her embroider that phrase on his blanky. It's chocolate brown with ecru trim, and in ecru, in the corner, it's like this:
Joseph Samuel
A Plan and a Purpose
10/20/06
For another lady, I prayed about what was "right" for her baby, and I kept thinking "strength" (he was a preemie) and so I looked it up in the Strong's concordance (where it's got every listing of whatever word you're looking for). I found a great verse for them: Luke 2:51 and again shortened it to the key words: strength, wisdom, favor.
I suggest that's what ya do: just pray and "listen" to your heart for a keyword and then look it up in the concordance and find the best scripture for you.
In the meantime, I think these blankets are the BEST gift EVER and it is always my gift to expecting moms, lol. Very personal, and my son carries his around all the time. Check out her site at mymannablanky.com---the lady who does it is great, the work is great, I just can't say enough about it.

A FAVORITE OF MINE:
Psalm 91:11 + 12 (King James Version)
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
THE WHOLE CHAPTER IS WONDERFUL, AND MIGHT BE A SOURCE OF STRENGTH FOR YOU, SWEETIE. I WISH YOU EVERY GOOD THING.

The Bible was created for humans to read, learn, react and obey. Asking for a "quote" from the bible to paint on your daughter's wall is wrong. You are asking to help you to perform idolatry, to placse something in front of you to worship... 1 Corinthians 6:9 states that we should not be idolaters, 1 Corinthians 10:14 states we should fee from it. If you want to paint something in your daughter's room, paint the things that Jehovah God gave us to enjoy... Birds, butterfies, trees, oceans, flowers, PEOPLE(you, your SP, your daughter). The things that are beautiful in all eyes. over time you will find yourself looking at them more and more. The beauty God CREATED. Take care. 1 John 4:8
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans not to harm you but to give you hope and a future.
This is paraphrased from what I can remember.
Or Numbers 26:4-6
May His face shine upon you...
Or Psalms 139

Hello K., I was given this scripture this year from the Lord himself. Matt. 19:26; With men these things are impossible, But with God all things are possible. My family and I are holding on to these words, trusting and believing that God is going to bless us with our own home this year regardless of what the situation looks like. No matter how many times man has said, "No, not yet!" Thanks for sharing your testimony. Be Blessed!!!!

Hi K.!
God bless you all!! Congratulations on your newest little girl due to be born.
The two scriptures I would put on the walls would be:
Jermiah 29:11. The other scripture would be Psalm 139:13, 14.
I hope and pray everything goes well in the birth.
Sincerely,
T.

ny niece recently had a little girl. she drew a large tree on the wall and used it like afamily tree - putting pic's of relatives on the branches. Can't remember the exact verse she used but something about family.
another thought is "train up a child . . . " from proverbs. can use a train and again use animals or pics of family in the train cars!

I realize you sent this request out on Saturday--but I thought I would throw my 2 cents in also. On our baby's birth announcement I included a verse from James. Specifically I quoted James 1:17.
Every good and perfect gift is from above...
Good luck in picking the bibical verse that best fits...
Have a fabulous and blessed pregnancy! I will be praying for you.

Kelly,
We lost our third child at 21 weeks. I never knew that a miscarriage was so painful until I buried my child. I said to my husband as we stood over Christians grave, "this is how God must feel every time he loses one of his potential children." He wrote a song out of that pain called One Day I'll See You in Heaven... Well.. God gave us another child..Zeke Michael Gilbert and he is three children in one if you know what I mean...If you come to the HarpsofGod.com web site and click on the Youtube link you can see him playing the drums. Also, go to the links page and click on Patricks myspace...I will put the song up for you...and we will pray for your expanding family.

Zephaniah 3:17 is a wonderful quote about the delight God takes in each life he creates. However, if you ask God to give you a specific verse for you daughter He will. He has for my children and it is very meaningful and exciting to see how each verse relates to their lives.

Well, looks like you got a lot of good quote suggestions. I wanted to suggest a website where you can get the words and put them on the wall yourself. My neighbor had some and they looked awesome- very professional. I think it's cheaper than a muralist and so many options to choose from.
I love what you wrote here, I will be praying for you. Just from what you said, I think a fitting quote would be "But by the Grace of God..." and hey, you could even name her Grace. Another of my favorite quotes is "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". You could even do something as simple as "A child is a gift from God" or "Let the little children come unto me". Whatever you choose I know it will be great, keep us updated!

My favorite verse is Jer. 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future."
It's so comforting to know that my Lord and Savior has a grand plan for my little ones.
