Swimming Lessons for My 4 Year Old?

The city of McKinney has a great learn to swim program. DD was in the preschool class last year at 3yo, will be going again this summer. Summer classes are outdoors at the Juanita Maxfield pool in McKinney; year-round classes are held at the Senior Center pool. There is a reduced rate for residents, but non-residents are welcome (DD had kids from Melissa and Anna in her class last summer). Each class has 5-6 kids and 2 instructors, and the summer classes are held in a beach-entry pool, so all the kids can stand, then take turns swimming in deeper (e.g. 3 ft) water.

I highly recommend Mrs. Margaret her number is ###-###-####, she is absolutely amazing! She does private lessons at her house, usually 6 kids or so in a class and I was amazed at my daughters progress. My daughter hates to swim but by the end of her class she was going off the diving board and sliding off the slide. Her main focus is on safety and making sure you can get out of the pool without a ladder and steps in an emergency situation. Cannot say enough good things about her!

We've used Mrs. Margaret too and so has another mom that recommended me. She does a great job. She's in Plano (East).

My kids loved Emler Swim School.

Emler Swim School for sure. There is one in Plano (Park and Ohio) and a new one in Frisco. They have an outstanding program focused on safety.

Frisco Athletic Center, YMCA.

Maybe Allen Natatorium has classes. (?)
