We have one it works well but is REALLY loud. I have no idea what we paid for it.

I had one. Lasted me a few years and it worked good. My only complaint was that I had to use the hose attachment to finish sucking up the excess water the self clean left behind. It would leave the carpet too wet IMO. The rubber seal on the clean water started leaking water all over the floor. That was easily and cheaply replaced through Bisel. The last thing it was sent spotbot to the trash, the hose cracked right where it connects to the harder plastic (what the attachment goes on). Bisel doesn't offer a replacement part for that. I really don't remember how much we paid for it either. I'm hoping the hubby gets me a new one for Christmas since I like pulling that out instead of the big hoover shampooer for small spills.

Good luck!

I prefer the green machine over the spotbot to be honest with you.

I have really enjoyed my spotbot- I like that it has 3 settings: automatic for new spills, automatic for set-in stains, and manual with the hose for when it is not really a "spot", but a splatter or stream of stain on the carpet.
I don't know how much we paid (I asked for it as a gift from the kids), but Walmart has them for about $120.

It seems to work well, the cost was around $120.
