Does anyone know how to retrieve deleted text messages from the IPhone? a friend of mine sent me some info that I thought I didn't need anymore and deleted the message, is there a way to get it back or do I have to just call her back and ask again?
Thank you!

What can I do next?

You may be able to contact your carrier, get them to look into your archives, pay however much they want for this service, then wait for it to be mailed to you. (Some carriers will only do this with a court order, so you may not even be able to do it...)

It would probably be easier to have her re-send it. Lol.

Gone gone gone. It's a good thing to send information texts to yourself in an email so you can keep them online. I always send addresses and phone numbers and instructions to myself on my gmail account so I will always be able to access them no matter what computer I am on.

Try searching your phone. When you're on the screen that shows all your apps, drag your finger down a little to get the search iphone box. Enter a key word from the texts or her name and you'll get a list. Not sure if it shows the whole text or if it'll even work but it's worth a try.

It always surprises me that so many people think when you delete your photos or texts that they are "gone forever".

If you backed up your phone to iCloud or iTunes you can retrieve the messages.

If you're not sure if you backed it up or not, you can search for messages by going to > Settings >General>Spotlight Search>Messages to check it, then search for the message (if you can remember a odd word or phrase from the text).

And if you ever lose a really, really important text, a data retrieval agency might help (for a big price).

On the very small chance that you are asking (or people read this) because you (they) want to check on someone's text messages and/or see if they are deleting text messages, you can do two things:

1. Check your bill to see who is being texted and when, and how many texts are received/sent.

2. mobile-spy dot com monitors people's texts, but it has to be downloaded on the person's phone (good for an employee or a child).

To the best of my knowledge, which is as extensive as it could be being the mother of 3 teenagers, a deleted text message from an Iphone cannot be retrieved.

:(
