Songs for Making a Dvd

Last year for Christmas, I made a dvd of pictures of my son from when he was born up until Christmas. I enjoyed it so much, I decided to do it every year to catalog that year's memories! I'm setting it to music. I've got several songs already, but I need some more ideas. I want songs that are basically, all about how much we love our son, and how we want him to be a strong, happy person as he grows up. Last year, we used "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts, "I Could Not Ask For More" by Sara Evans, and a few others. This year, I've got a few Steven Curtis Chapman songs, and some others, but I need a couple more. I'm stuck on what to use. I've clipped some of the songs so they fit with the pictures and also for the lyrics that really stand out to me. Any suggestions for songs that make you think of your kids when you hear them? They don't have to be happy gushy songs. I've got a couple of those, as well as upbeat songs, like "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)". Any advice is well appreciated! Thanks in advance!

So What Happened?

Thank you! I got so many good suggestions! I've heard of some, but not all of them, and I can't wait to listen to which ones I want to use! I've also got good suggstions for years to come, since I'm making this a new tradition! It's so wonderful to look back at the year and see how much my son has grown, and to make a keepsake of our favorite memories that we'll watch for years!

My all time favorite song for my kids is "I hope you dance" by Lee Ann Womack.
The lyrics are beautifully written hopes, dreams and advice for children to lead them down the path of life. Everytime I hear the song, it brings tears to my eyes.

The first responder beat me to "Beautiful Boy" by John Lennon, but Celine Dion makes a pretty version as well. "Who Would Imagine A King" by Whitney Houston, "God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You" Nsync

I would include the song Somewhere over the rainbow/Wonderful Life by a Hawaiian artist named 'Iz' Israel Kamakawiwo Ole. It was featured on a Hallmark commercial a few years ago and is just really beautiful. Here it is on Youtube :-)

My favorite song that reminds me of my kids the most is "Find Your Wings" by Mark Harris. I was pregnant with my youngest when that song came out, my daughter was graduating from elementary school to middle, and I made a card with those lyrics in it. I LOVE THAT SONG!
