My son was taking down ivy at the side of the house and as he got a big vine down, hundreds upon hundreds of stinkbugs were scurrying around.
I know the darn things are a nightmare (I found one once in my baby's crib and was on the phone to exterminators for 5 hours), so should I set one of those traps outside (where they are) before they find a way in?

Thanks very much, everybody...after reading everyone's opinion I decided not to fret and am filling my mind with much more stress-worthy items. :)
We get them in the house, since they are my son's "friend" we just move them outside and send them on their merry way.
They won't hurt you and they don't pose a danger so it's really not a big deal, it's not like they are cockroaches. Those I would be calling the exterminator about.
Our exterminator said they couldn't do anything about them...
I wouldn't be worried...they smell really bad but overall harmless.

HATE them.
I know God doesn't make mistakes, but I have to believe the stink bug comes REALLY close.
They're basically harmless and have no local natural predators (except humans!). You could set a trap. Or not.
Actually, our sightings were WAY down this year...they are migrating south, so, hopefully, they'll be a faint memory in a few years.
Ewwww!!! I HATE those things! And any other bug too! Yuck! This just gave me a major case of the creeps! Lol. Call an exterminator pronto!
